Island Paramedics would like to thank our dedicated dispatchers during #telecommunicatorsweek ! Thank you for guiding and protecting us as we partner to protect the communities we serve.
They are the public’s first point of contact during an emergency where they are tasked with obtaining information in a timely and relevant manner. In turn, they relay this information to Paramedics, Fire Fighters and police agencies to ensure the safety of everyone. Island EMS Paramedics and staff would like to thank Medacom Atlantic telecommunicator's for all the sacrifices they make to create a better and safer community, and province for the public. Your commitment to yo...ur profession is appreciated by all staff, the public safety communications community, and the citizens you serve. Medacom Staff have said, We're out there to help people. "At the end of the day, if we made a difference even in one person's life, that's our goal. Take time this week and throughout the year ahead to appreciate the importance of the role you’ve chosen, and be proud of the positive impact you’ve had on people’s lives. Thank you for all you do.
Meet Courtney and Chesley, these 2 along with many others are also celebrating Telecommunications week. Another section of our communication center at Medacom Atlantic, is our Clinical Support Desk (CSD). This area handles a working relationship with our PEI Dept Of Health, our mobile integrated Health units and our mobile COVID screening Paramedics for PEI. #NPSTW2021
Telecommunications is considered to be a good career path as the industry continues to evolve and grow with the boom of new technology. Wireless equipment provides more reliable services, and businesses are competing to offer the fastest internet and best deals. Thank you to our Medacom Atlantic communication staff and their dedication and your commitment to the health and safety of all Islanders, especially during what is and continues to be very difficult time. Take time this week to appreciate the importance of the role you’ve chosen, and be proud of the positive impact you’ve had on people’s lives.
National Public Safety Telecommunications Week is an occasion to thank our communication teams for the sacrifices they make in keeping Canadians and their communities safe and healthy work that was never more vital than during the COVID-19 pandemic. #telecommunications Medacom Atlantic
911. What is your emergency? It’s a question you never want to answer but the five words you most want to hear when you make a call in a crisis. The voice at the other end of the line belongs to a telecommunicator, a 911 professional who is often the first trained point contact in an emergency. A telecommunicator begins the important work of obtaining essential information to determine the right services in an urgent situation and dispatch the appropriate responders to the r...ight location, all the while remaining calm and calming the 911 caller in distress. Pink Shirt Day!! The inspiration for Pink Shirt Day started in a small Nova Scotia town where a student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. To take a stand against bullying, two older students purchased pink shirts and distributed them to other students for them to wear. Each February on the last Wednesday of the month we wear pink to raise awareness for Pink Shirt Day. Follow this link to learn more about the effects of bullying and what you can do about it:... https://bit.ly/3pKyJSc
Wishing everyone a happy #IslanderDay. Special shoutout to all our Island #Paramedics working on this day.
