Big Fish Friday. Check out this massive doitsu koi we just moved into one clients pond. I believe it is one of the largest koi I have handled so far this year at approximately 30" Definitely a great addition to a pond we have recently completed.

As the temperature continues to drop keep this checklist in mind to help prepare your pond and fish for the winter months to come. -Remove excess debris from the inside of the pond -Remove and discard floating tropical pond plants -Cut back your hardy aquatic plants leaving about 1"... -Clean the pond’s filter and circulation system. -Disconnect and remove your seasonal equipment (i.e. UV sterilizer) -Get your aerator and or de-icer ready to operate. -Consider netting your pond to prevent heavy debris from falling in.
