Island Bible Chapel 01.06.2021

As you may have heard, today Premier Ford announced temporary new restrictions today, limiting the size of religious service gatherings to 10 people, as was the case during the stay-at-home order back in January. This was in response to the rising number of COVID cases in the province, as well as the rising number of people in our hospitals' ICU's. The restrictions for churches do not take effect until Monday, April 19th at 12:01am. Thus, this Sunday, April 18th, we'll be ...gathering safely at 15% our our capacity, as permitted. Here are the sign-up links to attend in-person: Breaking of Bread @ 10:15am Upstairs (25 people) https://volunteersignup.org/KDW4K Breaking of Bread @ 10:15am Downstairs (Overflow 15 people) https://volunteersignup.org/7EXC7 Family Bible Hour @ 11:15am Upstairs (25 people) https://volunteersignup.org/PXQKL Family Bible Hour @ 11:15am Downstairs (Overflow 15 people) https://volunteersignup.org/TAP8H Bryan Windle and Nick Gordon will be team-teaching from Col. 3:1-17. Our Family Bible Hour service will also be livestreamed at 11:15am. Beginning on Sunday, April 25th and continuing for the rest of the stay-at-home order, we'll be moving our service back online and doing a blended BofB/FBH service at 11:15am each Sunday. This will be livestreamed, as usual, on IBC's Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Yes! Churches can remain open, and we will be gathering in-person this Sunday at 15% capacity and following the health regulations (mandatory masks and physical distancing). Here are the sign-up links to attend our services. NOTE: we use VolunteerSignUp.org as a simple sign-up program. You're only "volunteering" to come to church. :-) Breaking of Bread @ 10:15am - Upstairs (25 people) - https://volunteersignup.org/YRMJC ... As you no-doubt heard, Premier Ford issued a stay-at-home order, adding restrictions above-and-beyond the restrictions announced last week in the provincial shutdown. I've spoken to the Premier's office and confirmed that the stay-at-home order does not affect religious services. Churches are still able to gather at 15% capacity with physical distancing and people wearing masks. As we have throughout the pandemic, we will continue to love God (Matt. 22:37) and honour the... Lord’s command to submit to our governing authorities (Romans 13:1-2; 1 Peter 2:13-17). Moreover, we will continue to reach out to love others in appropriate ways (Matt. 22:39). In all, we will continue to focus on our mission at Island Bible Chapel of worshipping the Triune God, introducing Jesus Christ to our world, and nurturing our fellow believers. Thus, this Sunday, we'll meet on-site as usual for the Breaking of Bread and the Family Bible Hour. We will gather safely, following the health regulations. There still appears to be issues with livestreaming to Facebook from Zoom. I'm unable to figure out what the issue is. If someone would like to volunteer to be the new Livestream Coordinator at IBC, please let Bryan know. :-) We are able to livestream to YouTube though. So tonight's prayer meeting will be on YouTube only. You can find IBC's YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_jyXYwwlxmx8TIxbaS1JBA... I will post the specific YouTube link to our Facebook Page. Click it and you will be able to participate in our online prayer meeting. Please submit your prayer requests ahead of time. Join us at 8pm. We'll be studying a prayer of the prophet Jeremiah and using it as a model for our prayers. See you tonight.

Our apologies for the technical glitch this morning. For some unknown reason, we were unable to livestream from Zoom to Facebook. After multiple attempts and numerous potential work-arounds, we were finally able to livestream our morning service to YouTube. We then posted the YouTube link to Facebook. For those of you who were not able to view our service live this morning, you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/9IegGgbFvoI... If you would rather just listen to the audio of the sermon, you can find it here: https://islandbiblechapel.com/sermons/?sermon_id=441 Hopefully we'll be able to livestream the video directly to Facebook in future weeks. If not, we will continue to post the YouTube link on Facebook and you can watch it live on IBC's YouTube Channel. Grace & Truth, Bryan
