This is Earl and Miss May, they might only be 3 1/2 pounds each but they have all the love in the world to give they have been Debbies clients for a very long time now and she couldn’t ask for any better

To our furry friends and their caretakers: Please let us know immediately if your dog messes outside the shop. Our landlord is increasingly concerned every time a dog pees on the pole out front and it is not immediately cleaned up with soap and water. Please utilize the grassy area either in front or behind the building and let us know if you require assistance with cleanup. We maintain a sanitary environment inside and frequently wash the outside sidewalk. Please help us with maintaining a sanitary environment for all.

In light of new government regulations, we will continue with our protocol and keep our lobby closed to public and opened for one client at a time at your appointment time. We would appreciate our clients wearing a mask when dropping off their dogs inside our lobby; we will continue wearing ours. If you are unable to wear a mask, we will meet you outside with our slip lead to secure your dog at drop off and pick up. If other arrangements need to be made we will work with you to accommodate them. Let's continue to practice social distancing and proper hygiene to keep our vulnerable population safe in our province.

With all this heat, we are so pleased to be able to offer an air-conditioned space for the comfort of our furry friends and our staff. We look forward to going to work to escape the heat!

Just a little food for thought...

Today is a hard day at Island Dog Spa as we say goodbye to one of our most valued and loved employees, Ruth-Ann Johnson. She leaves to find new adventures on the West Coast in Corner Brook and to say we are going to miss her is an understatement. She has worked so hard over the past three and a half years, devoted herself to the spa and to your dogs. In the past few months, as we knew this day was approaching, she diligently trained and raised up staff to take on more responsibilities to ensure your dogs would be well taken care of. Please take a moment to wish her good luck on her new adventures and let her know how much you will miss seeing her smiling face. We love you and will miss you and Fox, Adler, Voodoo and Keno. I think you should leave one of them with me!

We had the pleasure of grooming a Border Terrier today!! We don't see many of these lovely dogs but Olive was looking for a groomer that offered handstripping! Here's some before and afters, and inbetweens! She was an absolute pleasure to groom!!!
