Island Fantasy Ball 2020 Notice The health and safety of everyone including our patrons, sponsors, competitors, officials and volunteers are our top priority. In response to B.C. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry’s direction to ban events larger than 250 people, we regret to inform you that IFB 2020 scheduled to take place on May 2 and 3 will be cancelled. This is not an isolated issue in BC aloneit is part of a worldwide crisis due to the COVID-19 outbreak.... Much time, energy, and resources went into preparing for our event. This is an unprecedented situation for IFB and has had unique financial repercussions for us. As a non-profit organization, we rely on ticket sales to support this exceptional event. We will be in touch with those who bought presale tickets regarding refunds. The good news is that we intend to host IFB again in May 2021 as this is our annual event since 1993. We value our patrons immensely and thank you for your continued support. We wish you a happy and healthy year ahead and hope to welcome you to our event next year. This is a necessary response to the directive issued on March 13, 2020 by BC’s Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry banning all gatherings of more than 250 people. To that end, we mu...st do our part to slow down and halt the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, though it saddens us, as we have already put much time, energy and resources into this event, we will not be seeing you this year. But the good news is that we intend to host the Island Fantasy Ball again in May of 2021 as this is our annual event since 1993.
