BEADSBEADSBEADS!!! Went through all my beads last night. Waaaaaay too many to ever use so I am happy to sell some to other beading enthusiasts. I will take them to the Swap & Shop starting May 20th or let me know if theres something youre after. Findings, stringing supplies, and thousands of strands of semi-precious stones.

Completed my first day at the Victoria Swap & Shop. What a gorgeous day to kick things off for the new version of Island Inspirations. Met lots of great people who were very complimentary on everything. Im hoping they tell all their friends and it just gets better and better. Sorry but the pictures didnt turn out very well.

Started unpacking everything. It was a lot of fun buying it but its almost as exciting opening it all up again. Soooo many fun things! Hopefully everyone else likes it too! Sadly Island Inspirations closed its shop doors in Cowichan Bay. So its time to re-invent itself. Effective May 2018 Island Inspirations will carry embroidered handbags, tie dye tshirts & hobo bags, fair trade baskets and purses (supporting African women), semi-precious jewellery, hand blown glass bowls, semi-precious bead strands, and so much more. Island Inspirations is very happy to carry carvings by father and son Floyd and Patrick Edwards of Penelakut Island. These wonderful pieces are hand carved and painted traditional native subjects - salmon, whale, hummingbirds, eagles. Stop by to see other available pieces.

Please welcome another new artist to Island Inspirations - John Dayton. John makes beautiful wood cutting boards, salad spoons, and spatulas from trees that have fallen on his farm. He has some amazing burls that I hope to see as bowls and other great items soon. Get to work John so we can all see more of these amazing pieces!

Island Inspirations has another new artist! A huge welcome to Robbie Stroud from Nanaimo; we have several of Robbies original oil paintings. Robbie is inspiring for his artistic talent but also for his overwhelming energy and love of art. So happy to have his work here.
