IMAC SR is back to booking birthday parties All parties fully private (including washrooms) includes setup time prior to party, 1 hour in play area with bouncy castle + other toys and 1 hour in meal room. No parents permitted unfortunately(hoping this changes soon) All students must be wearing a mask when they enter and exit SYDNEY RIVER PROTOCOLS Drop off door Pick up door Masks must be worn entering and exiting All students must have full uniform(includes pants, top, belt) Students are permitted to bring a water bottle ALL students yellow belt and up must look at getting sparring gear as that is now apart if their training. Hello Parents and Guardians, With the announcement today of school closing on December 18th and not re-opening till Jan 11th we would like to let everyone know that we will be open on those days for full day program. December 21st and December 22nd- no extra charge for those full time however EVERYONE must sign up by Wednesday, December 16th . Part time students will pay regular rate. Sign up papers will be at the exit door or table.... Jan 4th- Jan 11th- For anyone who needs these days for full time please also sign up on a separate sign up sheet with the days needed- if you need them all just write ALL next to the students name. There will be a $50.00 extra charge on top of your full time rate or part time students must pay $30 per day they attend. We will open at 8am and close at 530pm. We will still have classes on those days. These days MUST be signed up for by December 22nd. We will provide a lunch menu by December 18th for the 7 days. Lunches must be paid to Lydia in cash in a baggie labelled with your child's name. We understand some may not need this service and we will work on a pro-rated fee for January to the best of our ability without serverly impacting the program . Hello Parents It seemed like yesterday when we were finally getting back to summer camp and then into school and here we are at the end of an insane 2020. Although we are not out of the woods yet with this pandemic I am extremely grateful for how safe we have been and how we have been able to continue to work with your children. I want to thank all of my AMAZING staff and instructors for all their extra hard work ensuring that your children are safe. I want to thank our fant...astic parents for believing in us and cooperating with us and all our rules. Last but not least I want to THANK all the students who attend the programs here at IMAC. Your cooperation has been extremely impressive. With that being said a few important things 1. Last day of after school for 2020 is December 22nd. We will re-open Monday, January 4th, 2021 2. Last day of evening classes in Sydney is December 17th and December 16th in Sydney River. We will be re-opening Monday, January 4th, 2021. 3. All fees remain the same and must be paid on or before the last day of the program. This is mandatory as we will not be carrying memberships over for people who owe balances. 4. Reminder to parents that ALL students and parents must have masks on when they come into the building and when exiting. 5. IMPORTANT- We know that a lot of the students have cell phones which is fine however unless it is during allowed times they are NOT permitted to have them out during the after school program or full days. If they need to contact their parents they MUST go to the office to do so or ask permission to use their phones. We have had some major issues with this as parents are showing up for the kid, who are sometimes saying they are sick, and we are not aware. If they are found to be doing this we will ask the student to give us their phone until a parent arrives and they will not be permitted with them here anymore. We really appreciate your cooperation in this matter. 6. Now that the weather is changing please ensure that all students in the after school program are dressed properly. We want to keep all our students and staff safe and we feel this is our only choice to help do our part.... Hello Parents and Guardians for Evening TaeKwondo Students- Sydney and Sydney River Please read the following thoroughly Effective Tuesday, October 13th we are asking that parents come in and pick up their children(younger ones) at the end of each class. All classes are minimum 50 minutes. You will only be permitted to come in as far as the marked points and you must wear a mask. The colder and darker months are coming and this will be safer for the kids. We are not prepared... yet to have parents in the building for every class however we are going to start parent watch nights. One parent will be permitted to come on set dates and view the classes that their child attends. Parents MUST check in and screen like the students do and they must wear a mask at all times. While the student is in class there is to be no interaction with the child. You are there as a spectator. Sydney Schedule- Wednesday, October 14th- 530pm class and 630 pm class and Thursday, October 15th- 630pm class- students and parents will be checked in 10 minutes in advance and you will view from the parent room large TV. Once you are seated you can remove your mask and must remain seated the whole time. Masks must be worn entering and exiting the building as well as hand sanitization. Sydney River- Wednesday, October 14th- 545class- Chairs will be set up and distanced appropriately. Parents must remain seated at all times. Once seated you can remove your mask. NO STANDING. Masks must be worn entering and exiting the building as well as hand sanitization. PLEASE REMEMBER IT IS ONLY 1 PARENT PER CHILD- NO EXCEPTIONS!! As well we are in the planning stages of our first belt exam back after the shut down. Because of all the schools getting out at the same time we cannot provide pick up service but we are here to greet them. On the eve of our 3 schools all re-opening after exactly 6 months I just wanted to send out a few reminders 1. Office hours till further notice are as follows - Sydney-monday- thursday- 12- 8, friday- 12-530 - Sydney River/ Glace Bay- Monday- Friday- 12-530... Our office is not open to the public and parents/ guardians are only permitted to enter as far as the protocol at each school allows. We also HIGHLY recommend using the email addresses or cell numbers for communication unless it is emergency 2. Please remember that ALL covid rules are still in place for all programs. Hand sanitizing, hand washing, masks till in program. Parents MUST have a mask on when picking the kids up from after school. All evening parents must wait in the parking lot or on the step and a staff will take them out. 3. Please make sure all your child's teachers are aware of the meeting spots at each school. Well we did it. We just finished 8 amazing weeks of summer camp. One we will never forget but we did it. This is a great opportunity for a mature, high energy university student who loves kids, sports, outdoors and is a great team player. Hello Parents, We have finished preparing and planning for the return of our after school program for the school year 2020/ 2021. As we understand this is an extremely trying time we feel very confident that we have prepped and planned extremely well and to the best of our ability. We are 5 weeks in to a very successful summer camp following every protocol in that was put in place by public health and the NS government. We will be implementing and following the exact same pr...otocols for after school once the children have arrived at the program. They will be - greeted at the door and hands will be sanitized - each student will have their own space for their bookbags -shoes will be left on at all times except when in the dojang doing class - they will be assigned their room where their group will be - a staff will be with them the entire time - once all students arrive the groups will begin their schedule for the day - cleaning will be done after every activity and all high touch surfaces are done after each group has left an area. All equipment is also cleaned after every use. - no parents permitted past the pick-up section. our staff has walkie talkie and your child will be brought to you. if there is more than 3 parents waiting you must wait outside. DO NOT block the driveways. - an extra staff will be on hand at all times to do the cleaning as well as regular cleaning of the washrooms. UNFORTUNATELY RIGHT NOW WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCOMODATE HARBORSIDE ELEMENTARY UNLESS MORE CHILDREN REGISTER. THE TIME CONSTRAINTS WITH THE NEW PICK UP POLICIES DOES NOT ALLOW US TO GET THERE. We have IMAC masks for sale. We have a very limited supply right now. Cost is $12.00 per mask. They will be available tomorrow evening if anyone is interested. First come first serve. Happy Monday to all our parents and guardians as well as our amazing IMAC students. We want to thank all our students who continue to train each week and follow all the new protocols put in place. As the summer is slowly winding down we will be planning for our fall program. With that being said we are accepting names for those wishing to continue in the fall or those who are looking to return to our EVENING TAEKWONDO PROGRAM. As well we are accepting new students. We are a...sking ALL students(even those currently training) to email [email protected] and let us know if you will be attending come the fall. We need the following information Student name- Age- Rank- If returning School attending- Sydney, Sydney River or Glace Bay. We apologize for those currently attending to have to do this again however it is the best way to organize classes for the fall. We would like to have all this information collected by Friday, August 20th so that we can have our schedule ready to go the following week. PLEASE NOTE IMAC WILL BE CLOSED FROM SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH- SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH FOR PREPARATION FOR THE FALL BOTH AFTER SCHOOL AND EVENING CLASSES. ATTENTION PARENTS, GUARDIANS AND STUDENTS Effective tomorrow Friday, July 31st anyone entering the building for Taekwondo classes will need to wear a mask until the classes are to begin then they will take it off. They will also wear it as they exit the building. All other protocols are still in place. Summer Camp parents and guardians- protocols are to remain the same as they are now. Parents entering for drop off and pick ups will need to wear a mask however the children D...O NOT need to wear one. Thanks Angie
