We have some exciting new locally made pies in stock that are incredibly good. The Saltchuck Pie Company specializes in hot, savoury pies, made in the Australian/New Zealand tradition. Their pies are tender with a flaky pastry and all made with fresh local ingredients. The new one today is kangaroo pie with onion jam. We carry the standard pies and some that are unique.

We are open regular hours today and tomorrow. We wish you a very happy New Year! We know that this past year has been full of challenges, and we hope that the coming year brings more certain times for family and friends. Sending all our love and good wishes for better days ahead.

Turkey dinners are just not the same without stuffing on the side. Our staff have been working hard to make your dinners a little easier this Christmas. We have both stuffing and our homemade cranberry sauce to make a perfect meal. We would also like to thank everyone for being so patient while waiting in line. So apparently the chicken nor the egg arrived. Instead they sent us two peacocks. Delivery time was good, but not what I ordered. Oh well!

When you look through our window you will see YOUR reflection and that’s what awesome looks like. Thanks for being awesome customers through crazy times. When you stay safe, we all do too. We recycled an old window and we also have hand sanitizer by the door. So, you know what they say as long as you have a window, life is exciting.

We have a new seafood sausage in the case! It has chipotle, corn, cilantro, prawns and wrapped in a seaweed casing.

Are Scotch eggs really Scottish? The practice of encasing a pre-cooked egg in sausage meat was developed not in Scotland, but in North Africa. The technique made its way to Britain via France and was first recorded in England during the reign of Elizabeth I. Well...whomever created it was darn brilliant. If you haven’t tried ours...it’s a must. Many have been seen walking down Cook. St biting into our Scotch egg. They often don’t make it home! (The egg I mean).

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there, whether you are past, present or soon to be moms. May your day be filled with love, joy and laughter.

We just want to give everyone a big social distancing hug and say thank you for being so supportive.
