Fishing is great.

We all enjoyed the great event for the Civic Holiday weekend. Some activities are planned for Labor Day weekend but unfortunately, as per Health Unit recommendations, we have to cancel all high-risk activities in the Park including Halloween, fireworks displays, and dances. Enjoy camping, boating, and fishing, they are all still allowed.

The long weekend is coming. Island Park will have NSA on stage to play for us. Come join the party and remember to play safe.

Island Park is ready for the season. We still waiting for the green light from our Government.

Hello everybody, the winter is over. To remind you, the official opening day for Island Park is Victoria Day Long Weekend so we still have a few weeks left before our season starts. At present Island Park is closed for operation, (no services are provided). Staying in the park overnight or camping is not allowed. During this time we are working hard on improvements in the Park and getting it ready for the season. In terms of COVID-19, the Ontario government has identified seasonal campgrounds as a non-essential business and they must remain closed for now. We hope this will change before our scheduled opening. We believe that the situation will be under control soon and that you will be able to enjoy the full season in the Park. We will update you on the situation as we get closer to the official opening date.

We are monitoring the situation and will follow all government rules and guidelines. We still have over a month before our season starts, safety is our top priority. Stay positive everyone.

Hello, Campers, Park is drying out nicely and high water should not be an issue this year. We are back at the post and getting the Park ready for the new season. For the next two weeks, we will be under mandatory quarantine, but you will be able to call or contact us electronically. As everyone adjusts to this new reality, the season will be a little bit different this year, but it should not stop us from safely enjoying the outdoors and camping at its best. Hello, campers, We did not have much of a winter this year. Spring is almost here, summer is approaching fast and soon we will start another season in Island Park. We are closely monitoring the latest developments regarding COVID-19. Following the Ministry of Health guidelines and recommendations, we will be making some adjustments to Park/office operations as well as park activities to make sure that everybody will stay healthy and safe, and enjoy the season.... Island Park looks like a ghost park now. It is still beautiful but it misses its most important part, it misses you. Thank you all for making Island Park a special place for all of us. Thank you for your help, understanding, and patience during the last few years while we were going through the rough, bumpy roads of organizing Park affairs. We thank you for the great season we had together. Starting now we will save the planet and stop sending you paper correspondence. Time flies, see you in the spring.

Please see the message from Cheryl, our activities coordinator. Hi IP GANG. The winning ticket for Labour Day weekend is still out there. Please check your tickets. I will be away next weekend so I have given all the money to the office. Also, after a discussion with Jerry and Agnes, we all thought if no winner appears, it will be best to hold another draw in the spring and the $651.50 from this draw will be included. As it is hard to catch everyone at their trailers we've also decided that the tickets will be sold at the office. Good luck to all

We're very fortunate to have volunteers we can count on. Thanks to everyone who helped launch the water trampoline today! With your assistance everything went smoothly and the kids are already putting it to good use.

We will be opening car access to individual sections of The Park as they dry out. Please do not block the roads, and check to make sure the ground on your lot is solid before parking on it. If your site is still saturated and the ground is soft, please park at the gate after unloading.

The water is receding but we've gotten a lot of rain which has slowed the process. The Park will be open on May Long Weekend, water and hydro will be on. The roads are ok but sites are still saturated so we may restrict car access to the park (golf carts and ATVs will be OK). We strongly suggest packing rubber boots if you decide to come this weekend.

The water level is falling and it looks like we will be dry for May Long Weekend. If you visit this weekend, just remember that the ground will still be saturated and you will need to leave your cars at the gate.

Once again, The Park has been flooded by snowmelt. However, the situation is not as bad as in 2017. All of the trailers are safe and the water is slowly receding. We expect The Park to be dry before May Long Weekend, but please limit your visits for now.

Hello, Campers Spring is here and snow is almost gone. Our grounds are still very soft, please do not drive your vehicles in the park in April. We are getting Park ready for you and can not wait to see you all again.

Stay warm everybody and enjoy this holiday season. The nights are getting shorter now and soon we will start counting the days to the beginning of our new camping season.

Thank you for the great support at the meeting It was so hot and so much going on this Halloween weekend that we were exhausted. Kids and adults had super costumes, please post some pictures. Tim Hunt and The Getaway did it again. They are better every year. Thank you all.

The defibrillator is installed at the office entrance. Hopefully we will never need to use it.

It is Hot Hot Hot. We had a great time last night. Thank you Dave and the River Valley Riders for the great music. Canada Day Parade starts high noon in front of the Rec. Center. Freezies for all young the participants.
