Today our head coach spent the day helping out some delightful performers! Coach Angela shared her judging skills and expertise with gymnasts of all levels including athletes preparing for national team trials (thanks to the magic of technology). Thank you to the athletes for sharing their hard work, passion and dedication. It has been quite a year and your dedication to your craft is inspiring. Thank you to the coaches who, no doubt, spent countless hours working with the gymnasts and finding ways to keep them motivated in all the new ways we find ourselves working. Thank you to the parents and volunteers who helped make the day possible.

We understand the provincial government’s new order include closure of all gymnastics facilities. We are confident that our safety procedures and our return to play guidelines are thorough and keep everyone in our care safe. We also want to make sure we follow all guidelines for the greater good of our community. Yesterday, the Province announced new measures to control the spread of COVID-19. Our programs are continuing but we will be taking ViaSport’s lead in additional measures needed to keep our gym a safe space. ViaSport sent out information yesterday including this guidance: Games, competitions and practices can continue under these conditions: -No spectators are allowed at any sport activities under the order. The only people allowed to attend sport activities are those that ...provide care to a participant or player. For example, providing first aid. -Travel to, from and between regions for athletic activities like games, competitions, training and practice is restricted under this order. More guidance is expected and we will share any updates to our policies and measures. We are dedicated to keeping our athletes and all our members safe and healthy.
