I regularly feel dizzy, have trouble sleeping and suffer from excessive sweating. . What you think . My blood pressure is high. I should focus on eating healthy and exercising more.... . What it really means . High blood pressure is scary and can produce many unpleasant side effects, but with simply focusing on a healthy diet and exercise WITHOUT managing your stress levels, you still remain at risk for heart disease. . Ayurveda believes that heart conditions are just as emotional as they are physical. It’s a fact that every heart is different, and so when assessing imbalances an ayurvedic practitioner considers a person’s constitution. . We are all a unique combination of three doshas: kapha, vata and pitta, with usually one or two being dominant. . Here is how the three doshas relate to heart health: . Vata. People who are vata dominant with a fast metabolism, a petite body frame and usually have an imaginative mind. Potential heart stressors for this type include: . Fear. Anxiety. Insomnia. . It is recommended to balance this energy type with calming activities like massages, walks in nature and long, relaxing baths. . Pitta. Pitta dominant individuals have a medium frame and are usually driven and intelligent. Potential heart stressors for this type include: Irritability. Anger-management problems. It is recommended to balance this pent-up energy with workouts and by seeking a meaningful career. . Kapha. People who are kapha dominant are calm and often their energy is well balanced and consistent. Potential heart stressors for this type include: . Sadness /Grief Envy. Lethargy. . If you identify with kapha, balance out these negative energies by surrounding yourself with loved ones and including stimulating music and scenery in everyday life. . What is your dosha? Vata Pitta Kapha #ayurved
