We are into the third week of packing bags for the children. It has been a community effort and for that I am grateful. From Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, the Kinsmen of Thunder Bay, Halfway Motors, the RFDA, to all of you who donated both on-line and through cheques in the mail our children are blessed to have your support. Thanks to Jessica Reinhardt and her team from TD Canada Trust 1090 Dawson Road for your generous donation. To Kristen Anderson and the staff and Students at Saint Ignatius High School thank you. To Franki’s Pizzeria thanks for extending your Ad on CKPR for another two weeks. Our children are our future leaders and our investment in their future is what Isthmus is all about. On behalf of all our children at Isthmus Thunder Bay, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Frank’s Pizzeria. Every year he pays for a two week time sloth on CKPR to promote Isthmus Thunder Bay. Last year he raised $18000. Frank from the bottom of our rumbling tummies we are grateful.

On behalf of all our children at Isthmus Thunder Bay, I want to say a HUGE thank you to the Kinsmen of Thunder Bay for starting off this School year with treats for our children. What most children take for granted can be the little thing that puts a smile on our children’s faces. THANK YOU for giving them that opportunity to smile.

The first bags will be going out this Friday to 13 schools. Thank you to all my volunteers and all the organizations supporting Isthmus Thunder Bay. The Kinsmen of Thunder Bay for partnering with us to deliver the bags. St Paul’s Anglican Church for letting us use their basement and Halfway Motors for the use of the van.
