Due to Covid related rules and limitations, this year we have a reduced number of spots available in our classrooms and they are reserved for returning students from last year. After we have contacted all our returning students, we will put a note on our website and Face Book page and open any available remaining spots for new students. We hope to post that note by September 12th. Saturday morning courses are reserved for children (level 1 to Italian 30). First day of school is September 19. More details on our courses are forthcoming.

NOTE TO COMMUNITY August 4, 2020 Dear and valued Italian School Community.... I trust this finds you and your families healthy and safe, and enjoying our summer. I message you to inform you of our plan to open the Italian School for the 2020/2021 school year. The CLCIC Board of Directors has given approval to a plan which adheres to the recommendations and protocols outlined in the so-called Scenario 1 recently announced by the Alberta Government and Alberta Education as the recommended plan for school boards to follow in September of 2020. Adherence to the recommendations outlined in Scenario 1 will result in a reduction in the number of students that can be accommodated Saturday morning, strict enforcement of sanitary protocols and the alteration of our school hours -among other changes. The detailed plan is available for your perusal on our website. Safety of our students and staff is paramount, therefore, be advised that additional protocols may be added, as required. Our Vice Principal, Stefania Collins, will be in touch with you in the near future to ascertain what your intentions are with regard to the Italian School this September. Registration for courses will follow shortly after that. Unlike previous years, registration will not be done in person. As per our mandate, priority for cohorting classes Saturday morning will be given to children. More details will be available in the weeks to come. In closing, I encourage you to give a return to Italian School serious consideration, and to communicate your intentions to Stefania when she contacts you in the coming days. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Luigi De Somma Principal, CLCIC
