Over the years we have worked with many different clients from all walks of life. One common thread among these clients is often that they will not seek assistance or support for their technology until it’s too late. Such was the case with the business owner in today’s story. One day we were on the road on our way to pay a service call to a client’s location when we received a call from a restaurant owner, whom we will call Bill. We answered the call not knowing who was call...Continue reading

Have you ever had one of those gut-wrenching experiences of having worked on a project for weeks or months and then suddenly your computer freezes? Pushing buttons does nothing and worse yet, you can’t remember if you saved your work. You PANIC!! You SWEAR. Then you PRAY. You try everything you can think of to get access to your work in hopes of saving it, but to no avail. It’s GONE. Now what do you do?? Your deadline is looming and the pressure is on. This is exactly what ha...ppened to our latest client Nathan. Our first call started out exactly like this, ‘Hey, so I really need some help, my computer just crashed and I am about to launch my client workshop that I have been working on for the last three weeks. It launches tomorrow and I already have people signed up so I NEED to get this fixed. HELP PLEASE!’ First, we remote accessed Nathan’s computer and saved the day, it’s not always as easy as that but he did the right thing in calling a professional who could resolve it in far less time than it would take him to recreate the whole workshop. Then, we walked him through the easy to follow process on how to prevent this in the future. When using Word to create your document you can set it up to automatically save your document every 10 minutes, or more often if you prefer. This is how you set this up: 1. In Word, go up and click the File menu item at the top of the screen, then click Preferences. From within this window, click Save. 2. From here, make sure the Save AutoRecover info box is checked. The default number of minutes set in this box will be 10, so if you want to greatly increase your coverage in the case of a system failure, you can lower this to one minute. However, you may find this slows down your system. If this happens, simply increase the number until your system’s performance has improved and you find a happy medium between protection and performance. We truly admire Nathan for taking action to get support instead of giving up. It can be hard to keep going on a project when these kinds of challenges arise(and at some point or another, they always do). What we admire most is his willingness to put his knowledge out there and create workshops that help other business owners create amazing success. It’s an honour to be able to support clients like Nathan who are truly working to make an impact on the world. Nathan also gets a gold star as a client because he joined our membership community that gives him access to support to troubleshoot any other tech challenges he may have. He now knows he’s secure and can create as much and as often as he wants. We’d love to know how your recent or upcoming project is helping to transform people's lives, and how we can stand alongside you and protect that project to ensure it makes it to market. Share your mission with us below.

Next week The Supreme Court of Canada will, for the first time, hold its hearings entirely on Zoom. This is a great example of how technology is being put to work during the pandemic. #supremecourtofcanada #justice #covid-19 #zoom #workfromhome
