In August I had the opportunity to work with the Ending Violence Association of Canada and Anova to create an infographic for a national survey they conducted, looking at the impacts of COVID-19 on gender-based violence services and survivors in Canada. You can find more details about the survey and the full report at endingviolencecanada.org and anovafuture.org, PLUS, if you're so inclined, you can also read about the behind the scenes process of this project, including the importance of taking a pause, on my blog linked here. https://emmarichard.ca/blog/infographics-and-pauses

A few weeks ago I had the honour of visiting @the.aurahouse in Brampton to paint their logo and foundational pillars on the studio walls! After pivoting to be able to work in our very digital world, it was a special treat to take on something analog, large-scale, and outside of the house. While I love being able to capture conversations digitally, and use visuals to help people stay engaged on Zoom, I am also missing the physicality of working on big surfaces. The...re's something about the embodiment aspect of working big that I deeply connect with. All that being said, I'm incredibly grateful for the work that has come my way this season - digital and otherwise. When the pandemic began and my calendar evaporated, I had no idea what I'd be doing over the upcoming months. Staying with the uncertainty and taking things one day at a time have made moments like these all the more special. @ The Old Shoe Factory See more

Graphic recording: not just for in-person events! This digital graphic was made during a Zoom session yesterday where folks gathered to explore how to integrate an equity lens while rebuilding our economy post-COVID. Grateful to the WOSEN (Women of Ontario Social Enterprise Network) group for hosting this event, and for inviting me to witness the conversation. I think there's something here for all of us to reflect on. What do you see?
