For yesterday’s meal, I teamed up with @maiorino28 and @mattkyazze & @baitjames of @hashtagffa. We stocked up on groceries from @botteganicastro then got the assembly line going and made panini sandwiches! Each sandwich was made of a soft bun loaded with lettuce/arugula, tomatoes, onions, spicy eggplant, house dressing, and a mix of meat and cheese. Huge thanks to @botteganicastro for supplying us with the fresh buns, meat, veggies and cheese! Yesterday I joined @buibitestv as a guest on his Twitch stream, where he puts on a show by cooking something delicious every week! For yesterday’s meal, we each made a different type of grilled cheese sandwich. Steven made chicken and bacon Caesar grilled cheeses, while I made Buffalo chicken ranch grilled cheeses. Not only that, but we were also able to hand out some blankets, thanks to a huge donation from @leahbrads. For today’s meal, I teamed up with @emmshaheen to serve up a big breakfast! We had three items on today’s menu: breakfast wraps made of scrambled eggs, cheese, tater tots, turkey, and chipotle sauce; toasted everything bagels with bacon and herb and garlic cream cheese; and in my opinion, the most underrated food out there, toasted English muffins with butter! Along with the meal, we handed out some toothpaste and toothbrushes thanks to @brother.ollie, @trevorduncan7 and the students of @hillcrest.studco. Not only that, but we were also able to include some very nice handmade cards, thanks to Mme. @hayldoelman and her grade 7 class! For today’s handout, I teamed up with @maiorino28 to hand out some care packages and cookies. The care packages, which were loaded with things like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, hats, mitts, and thoughtful messages, were all thanks to @hannahjrr and the awesome staff and students at the Canyon Walk Child Care Centre! This past weekend was a double header! Sunday’s meal was all thanks to @chl0ejay, who cooked up some cheesy taco pockets for us to hand out! What we have here is a soft tortilla stuffed with seasoned ground beef, cheese, salsa, and sour cream, then coated with butter before getting thrown in the oven! For Saturday’s meal, I teamed up with @bryciesim, @raamifahel and @assafrealty. Together, we handed out close to 70 brown bags filled with warm food, snacks, water and hand warmers. For the appetizer, we threw in a serving of baked Mac and cheese. As a main dish, everyone was given a slice of garlic cheese bread and one of six sandwiches: smoked meat on rye, chicken Caesar wrap, ham and Swiss, turkey and cheddar, ham and turkey, or spicy Italian. For dessert, we added a bag o...f chips, an orange, doughnuts and cookies, and a granola bar. Shoutout to @mattshaheen93 and @rshaheen61 for giving an extra hand, and to Bryce for grinding it out on the sandwiches. I’d also like to give a very special shoutout to Matt Assaf and Rami Fahel of @fahelandco, as they completely sponsored this huge meal! For yesterday’s meal, I teamed up with @jsaiks, @sailorcorbeil and his girlfriend Abbey. We gave out paper bags each with a fried chicken sandwich, a bowl of pasta salad, and a chocolate chip muffin! The muffins were made up of a mix of chocolate chips, and the pasta salad was loaded with onions, peppers, olives, broccoli, cheese and Italian dressing from @olivegarden. For the sandwiches, we replicated the famous Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich: a brioche bun coated in butter, then toasted and topped with spicy mayo, pickles and fried chicken! #munchieswithmike #givingback #nonprofit #Ottawa

Today’s meal was all thanks to the lovely staff and students at the Canyon Walk Child Care Centre in Ottawa. They spent the morning preparing hot meatball sandwiches and hand-writing thoughtful messages to be distributed to those less fortunate. It was nice to see how excited the kids were to give back, and their hard work was definitely appreciated.
