In light of the Government of Quebec’s recent announcement, Ivanhoé Cambridge will close to the public its owned and managed shopping centres located in the province of Quebec, including all retail plazas located within its owned and managed office buildings in Quebec, from December 25th until January 11th. However, required access to authorized retailers, as identified by government guidelines, and restaurants for take-out or delivery purposes, will be maintained.

Ivanhoé Cambridge would like to congratulate Jean-François Archambault from La Tablée des Chefs for having won two awards for his commitment to communities in need. Since 2002, Jean-François Archambault has been supporting communities through Tablée des Chefs. Recently, he launched Les Cuisines Solidaires, where our hotels Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth and Fairmont Le Château Frontenac produced 500,000 meals to the initiative, to help Les Banques alimentaires du Québec. PVM’s impressive Grand Hall, located on the new Esplanade Place Ville Marie and overlooking the biergarten Le Cathcart, has won the Specialty Construction Award in the Global Best Projects Awards competition. This architectural feat is the central component of the revitalization of PVM's Esplanade, with a $200-million investment by Ivanhoé Cambridge. Discover the project's progress and the end result developed in partnership with Seele, which designed the glass panels, Sid Lee Architecture, Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux and NCK.

This innovative development program aims to encourage women at Ivanhoé Cambridge to pursue their ambitions. This year’s selected representatives hail from various sectors and reflect the diversity of our organization. These women will take part in workshops and conferences, as well as interact and exchange with inspiring female leaders.

Some news coming from Le Cathcart : Piazza Sociale, the new Italian restaurant concept is set to open on September 22! Drawing its inspiration from animated Italian courtyards where people get together to socialize and grab a bite at any time of day, Piazza Sociale will be in place for the next 12 months, and is a major addition to the already extensive Le Cathcart offering.

Fairmont Le Château Frontenac will become carbon neutral in 2020. The Château Frontenac is always concerned about having a positive impact on its community and improving its environmental practices, so it wants to be sure its commitment to offset its greenhouse gas emissions is highly significant. I don’t want to follow anyone’s path except my own. Wise words spoken by Lili Loiselle-Cantin, an information technology intern from the summer 2020 cohort, who shares her experience working for Ivanhoé Cambridge: It comes as no surprise that one of the major challenges we’re facing is the fact that the social aspect of working in an office is basically non-existent at the moment, but the human side and innovative nature of Ivanhoé Cambridge both really resonate with me! Despite the distance, I feel like I am surrounded by experts and professionals ready to help propel my career. I was beyond thrilled to be accepted into the summer 2020 internship program!
