Hard to believe I turned 34 this year. To mark this occasion, I'm attempting to raise $2020 in support of the newest mountaineering documentary film The Myster...y Mountain Project (premiering this fall) and a follow-up re-enactment expedition to Mount Waddington this summer. With others reflecting on their past decades, I thought I'd throw in my top 5 highlights of 2010-2020: 1. Celebrating 5-year anniversary with my smart and handsome wife Liesha, raising our daughters Anja and Thea. 2. Marked 10 years as a member of the Alpine Club of Canada, with a few mountain peaks and lots of new friends along the way. 3. Relocated to beautiful British Columbia via the most indirect route Baltimore, New York City, Toronto, Winnipeg, and the Island of Saba. 4. Got to work for two very different but equally interesting and rewarding organizations here out West with the Sun Peaks Resort’s summer slopes team and with Thompson Rivers University (TRU), where I've been working since 2017. 5. Co-founded the Canadian Explorations Heritage Society (Canadian EH Society) which allowed me to bring together business and photography skills, interest in mountain culture and passion for the outdoors. The Canadian EH Society will be embarking on our 3rd historical re-enactment expedition this summer. Behind the scenes, we're working hard to make our organization more sustainable, to share Canada's exploration history with every Canadian, and to expand our community of like-minded partners and supporters at home and abroad.
