I've Got Worms 22.11.2020

The worms have given me enough compost this year to put on my whole garden and I've only been feeding them since January! I have been slowly adding to the population to get them to eat more and repopulate. Thank you little worms!!!

Rory and I were out for our first time yesterday this spring starting to prep the soil for our new garden we are making! :-) It's time to work the soil and start adding compost and mulch to add nutrients and get an early start at keeping weeds away. Remember, a low tilling or no till approach is the healthiest option! For a new site, remove sod and shake off as much soil as you can, then use a pitch fork to aerate the soil, but do not flip the soil with a shovel or you will move the organic layer from the top down to the mineral layer!! If you take care of the soil, you will have great results! Happy garden planning everyone!

I just received 3 more pounds of Red Wigglers in the mail and Figgaro decides to sit on their air holes....

Well it certainly doesn't look inviting enough outside for me to want to get all my winter gear on, walk to the far edge of the backyard and throw my veggie scraps onto a frozen pile that won't break down very fast!! The indoor method will save you from all this hassle. Keep it conveniently under your sink or in your closet and add your kitchen scraps to it whenever it's convenient and the worms will give you nutrient rich compost by the time spring rolls around! :-)

There is still time to order a worm bin and have enough compost for your garden this spring! Composting outside in the winter is next to impossible, so why not try the indoor method?! The worms will do all the work for you, the bin won't smell and can be kept in a convenient place in your home to use whenever you need it. Message me or call 519-614-0224 for details or orders!
