I am soooooo close to finishing this vintage inspired granny square throw. My least favourite part of any project is weaving in the ends. It always amazes me how a project can go from kind of ugly and unfinished, to a beautiful piece of art as soon as all the lose yarn pieces are all tucked away. Soooooo many hours have been poured into this blanket and I couldn’t be happier with how it has turned out. #handmade #crochetblanket #laboroflove

I get made fun of a lot for crocheting, like ALOT. But that’s okay. I understand the 70 yr old woman stereotype. I also think it’s important to teach younger generations about preserving traditions and making things handmade. It’s definitely not cheaper or faster than things that are factory made nowadays, but where is the fun in that? And whatever happened to quality being a priority? When you can look at a finished product that you have made from your own two hands and be truly proud of it, well nothing beats that feeling. So if you have ever wanted to learn a type of skill/craft and you just haven’t gotten around to it, I encourage you to GO and do it!
