Rebooking and reopening update! Thanks for your continued patience and support! We hope to see you all soon! xo Andrea
Here we go- Round two and hopefully the last time we will close the salon down again! Thank you for all the phone calls and messages we have received today! As you can imagine we are overwhelmed with phone calls and trying our best to accommodate. For the time being anyone currently booked in from now until Saturday, you will receive a call to confirm your appointment. Once we confirm existing clients (booked till Saturday) we will chronologically call clients booked for next... week and possibly offer you an appointment if we have any available. We have extended our hours to try and get as many people in as safely as possible while still adhering to the mandated guidelines! All appointments booked Dec 13 onwards will automatically be cancelled and put on a priority call list for when we reopen again. Thank you so very much for the support, love, concern, care we have received this last 9 months of being open. Truly without you our salon would not have survived the first closure and also because of you we have faith we WILL survive this second wave! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Stay safe! SALON UPDATE: It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions this last 3 weeks as we watched numbers rise and had countless conversations with everyone that visits our salon, hearing nothing but exhaustion, defeat, fear, sadness etc, etc. We faced days of cancellations, phones that were quieter than ever and phone calls from clients saying they were waiting for test results. This turbulent journey has been difficult beyond belief but I am proud of the efforts from my team and every pe...rson that has walked through our doors respecting our protocols. I can literally count on 1 hand only the people that were outrageously rude so THANK YOU for doing your part! Without the continuous routine, diligence and discipline from my salon team along with their positive spirits every day we would not be where we are today. Without the supportive, understanding clients that follow and respect our protocols we also would not have the confidence to stay open and continually serve you! I am relieved to hear we as a small business, serving the public can still remain open BUT this is far from over so please BE KIND. We all may not be aligned by what we believe to be the truth of Covid but we are definitely aligned by the same intensity of stress and anxiety we all carry in our hearts! Stay safe! Andrea . . . Salon Update. I wanted to take a moment to address some concerns regarding rumors of a second shut down, and also share with everyone our experience working during these Covid times. The last 6 months have included intense pivoting, weekly problem solving and constant emotional/mental check-in's with eacother. Navigating through this Covid storm that is consistently brewing, has been challenging but has also been rewarding as I see my team show up, and consistently practice ...strict protocols within our bubble here at the salon. Our amazing, supportive clients have also shown up, and been completely respectful of all our above and beyond strict protocols to help prevent spread and to keep everyone that walks through our doors as safe as possible. This unwavering support from everyone has been so heartwarming . We, as a team feel so grateful and blessed to be able to keep our doors open in these times of intense uncertainty. What I have witnessed is if protocols are practiced, it does work! For the amount of people in and out of our salon daily we have been able to keep everyone safe so far. For now, it’s business as usual and no restrictions have been put in place for small businesses like us SO FAR. Currently, the data shows that Covid positives coming from businesses like ours is ONE PERCENT but the first cuts will def be us! In case there is a second closure, I highly recommend getting your hair appointments booked in sooner than later. These next couple weeks, there are still some limited availability so try your luck and give us a call to see if we can fit you in. Please, please, please let's all tighten up our reigns and help slow down the spread cause whether we like it or not, we are all connected no matter what each of us believes. SMOKE SHOW These smokey, ashy, gunmetal, silver tones are colors that involve a lot of experience from a skilled stylist, a lot of time to allow the hair to be lightened to a blonde, perfect formulation to tone so the smokey color does not go blue, purple, green or soft black and most important healthy hair that has not been previously dark colored (box or professional). It’s literally involves a perfect storm and sometimes luck to achieve this color or dark pigmented hair! Andrea KILLED this color and we just can’t stop staring at it! Thanks Jen for always being so patient as Andrea works her magic, you are stunning!
A HEART TO HEART MESSAGE This quote summarizes how every small business owner feels when they decided to put their fears aside, take a leap of faith and find the courage to realize their dream. To put everything on the line in hopes people will see value in the service/product they provide as a business is a vulnerable position to be. The huge responsibility as an entrepreneur to lead a team, provide a safe environment, provide exceptional products/services, and meet mo...st expectations of their customers are MAJOR. On a normal day these are already very challenging nevermind during a global pandemic. I share all this from a small business owners perspective in hopes to inspire patience and understanding. In this trying time, small businesses are in survival mode, picking up the pieces to rebuild (if they even can) and every decision made regarding safety protocols has not been made lightly. Most often these decisions were made together with their staff to ensure everyone feels safe to return to work (no staff=no business) So as inconvenient, annoying, and extreme some protocols may seem, please know they were put in place to protect you, themselves and their staff. To have the heavy responsibility of the health and well being of everyone that enters their business is NOT an easy feat. All it takes is for 1 person to make a formal complaint regarding safety and the business can be reprimanded, shut down, fined. So next time there is an opportunity to pass judgement or complain about safety measures please keep all this in mind. No matter what your perspective or beliefs are- I 1000% respect you- there is no right or wrong just a matter of opinions but KINDNESS during a very emotionally vulnerable time and gratitude for service goes a long way on both the business and customer side. Let’s all stay united and come out of this kinder, stronger and better.
