Dear Patients, In this unprecedented time, Dr. John Balkansky and the team at iWellness.ca Rehab hopes that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. We want to assure you, our patients and community, that we have implemented measures that will allow us to protect the health and safety of our staff and reduce any risk to patients who still need to access treatment at this time. We realize that some of our patients depend on us for ongoing treatment of current plans of man...agement as well as emergency care and, at the present time, we are operational on a daily basis. However, please call the office for availability if you need to access our services as the hours have been reduced accordingly. Of course, this situation could change and we are following the directives from the College of Chiropractors and any recommendations from Public Health Services so as to be aware of potential changes that could impact our ability to provide care during the emergency. We will update you as needed. Thank you, Dr. John Balkansky & the iWellness.ca Rehab Team

We are going to get walloped with snow here in the GTA over the next few days. To reduce the chance of hurting your back and neck while shoveling, here are a few tips: . Use proper gear. Lighter shovels with fibre handles are easier to use and steel edges are less likely than plastic to break and cause accidents. .... . Perfect your shoveling skills. Keep your back straight and knees bent, hold the handle close to your body no higher than hip-level, and push rather than lift snow. . . Shovel early. Don’t wait for the snow to stop before shoveling. Piled-up and/or partially melted snow is harder to move and more likely to cause back injuries. . . Take breaks. Rest every 15 minutes to avoid muscle stiffness or overexertion. . . If you do injure your back or neck, stop immediately and seek help. . For more tips, book an appointment with us today via our website (link in bio), or call us directly at (416-759-8099). - #Toronto #Ontario #NorthYork #Canada #the6ix #chiro #physio #massage #physiotherapy #chiropractic #acupuncture #chiropractor #massagetherapy #therapy #health #wellness #neck #spine #iWellness #followme #balance #exercise #healthy #rehab #rehabilitation #mobility #nutrition #movement #help #snow
