To conclude J Cubed Custom's "Cedar series," for now. Here are some pictures of two cedar shake roofs. We not only roofed these bridges we also framed and sided them! We completed everything excluding the bridge deck, paint and front wood fence. Both of these identical bridges are 60' long and are large enough to drive your truck across to the island they bridge. This project holds a very special place within J Cubed Custom's soul.

Carrying on with J Cubed Custom's "Cedar series" here is a before and after picture of a project we recently completed. The client was happy to add cedar shingle accents to 3 bay windows a planter box, upper front gable and entrance way. Along with this exterior renovation came all new triple pane windows and an upgraded siding on the house and double detached garage. This project transformed this residence from night to day!

Cedar is hands down the best natural insulator on the market! Cedar is manufactured in cedar shingle or a shake reveal, hand split or tapersawn, 1/2" to 3/4" thicknesses the choices are fairly broad. We installed this project in the SE of Calgary another fine example of 3/4" Handsplit.

This photograph is of one of our belled standing seam 20 oz copper installs. Normally in our Alberta climate our natural copper turns black however this install patina'd greenish/black and left the natural copper that us copper lovers truly install this product for. It is believed to be that the sulphur emissions from the spruce tree was why it patina’d this way and kept the copper colour. Out of all the copper installs we have installed in Alberta this was the first natural copper to patina this way on its own. We do have the option to patina the copper before installation and we can get purple, green and black bleeds. We then lock the colour in time under a clearcoat.

Standing seam roofs are extremely durable and long lasting applications one can use to waterproof their properties. This particular project was a recent installation we provided for a client who wanted a product with maximum longevity with the look that can only be found from standing seam panels. With a range of panel widths and paint colour selections of SMP or PVDF the number of choices are fairly broad. More options include 16 or 20 ounce copper, natural or patina'd.
