After several years of research and writing, I have finally finsihed a first draft of The Gift of Seeing: A Biblical Perspective on Ontology, the third and final volume in God's Gifts for the Christian Life - Part 1. Hopefully it will be available later this year (read more about it at teleioteti.ca/resources/coming-soon/). I have also resumed editing my Habakkuk Hebrew reader and Commentary, which is set for release in two months. Keep your eye out for both of these!
Samuel: A Journal for the Hebrew Scriptures is now available at online bookstores everywhere! You can find purchase links for amazon over at Teleioteti, https://teleioteti.ca//a-journal-for-the-hebrew-scriptures/
Contemplating God argues that Evangelicals need to retrieve the classic doctrine of God. It has good things to say but many problems. https://teleioteti.ca//review-of-contemplating-god-with-t/
Samuel, the next volume of A Journal for the Hebrew Scriptures is now available for pre-order and will be released on Friday, 26 March! The linked for pre-order are now up on Teleioteti: https://teleioteti.ca//a-journal-for-the-hebrew-scriptures/
I have a dilemma! I have finished the next volume of the Journal for the Hebrew Scriptures, in the final editing stages, and I have discovered that I formatted ...it with a font two sizes larger than previous volumes (16 vs 14). The result is significantly more chunky, yet the larger font is quite pleasing to read. (The size difference is negligible for cost.) So, I could publish this volume alone with the larger font; publish all future volumes with a larger font and come back to the first 3 in several years for a second edition; or fix it (pushing publishing back about two weeks). Thoughts? (Google books preview to be up soon) See more

God on the Brain is a clear and careful analysis of the cognitive sciences within a Biblical worldview. There is much for which to praise God but no challenge to Christian faith. https://teleioteti.ca/2020/07/20/review-of-god-on-the-brain/
Frances Young has provided an invaluable introduction to 4th and 5th-century theology from which both graduate students and beginners will benefit. https://teleioteti.ca//30/review-of-from-nicaea-to-chalce/
Rhyne Putman describes the causes of and prescribes a treatment for theological division, revealing in the process the danger threatening Evangelical theology. https://teleioteti.ca//06/30/review-of-when-doctrine-divi/

By making the case for theological triage, Ortlund has made a great contribution. However, the nature of theological triage raises significant questions.
William's Arius is a significant work in Patristic scholarship and has enduring value for the student and scholar studying this period. https://teleioteti.ca//review-of-arius-heresy-and-traditi/
In One Assembly, Jonathan Leeman argues that the multi-site and multi-service church model is not Biblical. However, he fails to make his case. https://teleioteti.ca/2020/05/25/review-of-one-assembly/
Minus the houses, this looks like a Mario background.
The Whole Counsel of God lays down a challenge to intentionally preach the whole Bible and offers guidance for doing so. For the sake of our congregations, we need to take up this challenge.

Dane Ortlund's Gentle and Lowly fails to demonstrate what it is explicitly seeking to but beautifully succeeds in doing something else.
Chester argues that the Sacraments are tangible gifts from God. Though his scriptural warrant is sometimes lacking, this is a needed reminder. https://teleioteti.ca/20//27/review-of-truth-we-can-touch/
If you havn't done so already, do yourself a favour and check out what the Streetlights team is up to. They have recorded the entire New Testament over fantastic hip hop tracks and are currently working on the Old Testament, along with Spanish recordings. This is one of my favorite study and devotional tools. https://www.streetlightsbible.com/
If anyone is looking for something to do with extra hours on their hands, I am willing to give away free (digital) copies of my books in exchange for a review (T&Cs apply :P).

Christian Higher Education provides a great overview of issues in higher learning but fails to ask some of the most significant issues for higher education.
Has anyone had a chance to read my book "The Gift of Knowing" yet? I keep on running into people asking the same questions I was trying to answer in that book, ...but as the author it is hard to judge how sucessful I was in answering them. If you have any positive or negative feedback, please send it my way so I can know whether it is worth recommending (and while you are at it, please leave a review online). Thanks! See more
In the busyness of moving I almost forgot that my new book is out today! My commentary Habakkuk is available today wherever good books are sold (online)! E.g. https://www.amazon.ca//aw/d/1989560016/ref=tmm_hrd_title_0
Got these in the mail today! My Habakkuk commentary comes out on December 20. I am very excited about this one.
I am excited to announce one more book release for the year--my last for a while. My new book Habakkuk: An Exegetical-Theological Commentary will be out on December 20th. In this commentary, I go through the book of Habakkuk section by section and verse by verse, explaining difficult technical issues and reflecting on its theological insights for our day. With a mixture of technical notes and practical reflection, it is my hope that the student and scholar may both profit from it. It available for pre-order on Amazon.com and should be up elsewhere in the next week or so. It is available in hardcover ($40.00) or paperback ($30.00).
For the last 4 years or so I have been working on a commentary on The Book of Habakkuk. Last week I put the finishing touches on it! God willing, it will be available on December 20! Because we are moving, I will not be ordering extra copies. But if you live in the lower mainland and want a copy, either paperback ($30) or hardcover ($40), I can make sure I order one for you (I get most of the proceeds from selling them myself, as opposed to the couple of dollars I receive from online sales). Please let me know if you want one.

(2) Second, the Lord willing, I will be beginning a PhD degree early 2020. I have been accepted into the PhD program at Moore Theological College. Pending visa approval and several other details, Nicole, Aliyah, and I will set out on this adventure at the end of this year. More details to follow.
I have two exciting announcements to make: (1) first, my new books, The Gift of Reading - Part 1 & Part 2 are now available for pre-order and will be released on September 30th. In these books, I look at how we can read and study the Bible well and how God has made the Bible sufficient so that we might understand it. https://teleioteti.ca//the-gift-of-reading-part-1-2-is-n/
