Cutting wood today on this chilly but beautiful winter's day. It's nice to get out!

Well it's that time again. Booked in for my 5 year renewal exam for my pesticide license. At J.Grimson Farms we do not use a lot of pesticides but we do however have to spray for Colorado Potato Beatle when necessary. If not treated they can decimate a whole crop. In Ontario you are required by law to be licensed to buy and applicate class B or class C pesticides.

In the shop today. Today's project. Replace the starter motor bendix on the Farmall Super A. Thanks to Diamond Farm Tractor Parts in Brighton for always being able to get the parts i need for these old girls.

What a beautiful stretch of weather we've had for this time of the year. Still able to get on the land. Today I'm turning new ground. This ground hasn't been worked in many many years if ever. Should be very productive soil.

Well not the best day out there. But I'm on a roadtrip to near Verona, ON today to pick up a new to me grain auger i purchased this weekend. And what would a good road trip be without first stopping at our friends at Maple Dale Cheese. #roadtrip, #supportlocal #farmin

With the weather getting colder and getting our first snow this week. It's time for my annual game of Tetris trying to get as much iron inside for the winter as physically possible.
