And that's not all, Moms & Babies too can expect a "Baby Bundle" with Baby items galore, with the help of our other partn...ering organization - Recreation & Parks Association of Nunavut as part of their FITMOM Program in Iqaluit & 10 remote communities - supporting new Moms on their journey of Motherhood to stay fit and healthy. HOPE WITH A HONK! Two mission minded women recently travelled to a northern Canadian community in Manitoba, delivering Jabez Backpacks of Hope from their truck, to the surprise of Children and their parents! As they pulled up into each driveway, Alice’s hand to her horn would announce their arrival, a regular routine. Jo-Anne from Union Gospel Mission, our Ministry Partner for this shipment tells us, "It was amazing to watch a whole house of kids and adults empty out to Ali...ce’s 'call'. It seemed that they were very familiar with Alice visiting them this way and all were happy to see her. I did not count the number of homes we visited but as Pearl & I followed Alice, we both became very aware of the love this woman has for her people and community, her heart to serve them and their response to her love. It was the response from the parents that really touched our hearts. To have your child blessed and given a gift warms a parent’s heart. And what did the Children think of their gifts? Within a few days of their visit, Alice followed up with a call to Jo-Anne and Pearl to say, the Children were reportedly seen riding their bikes throughout the community with their distinctive colourful Jabez Backpacks on their backs! As they (their parents) see their children sleeping with their blankets and teddy bears and using their backpacks, may they be reminded that God does care for them. Jo-Anne, U.G.M. INFECTIOUS JOY IN THE MIDST OF A PANDEMIC! It's all smiles from Mama Waluse's Chidren living in an orphanage in Zambia for their new Jabez Blanket Ministry Backpacks, Bears, Blankets, Toys and School Supplies! These compassionate gifts arrived Easter Weekend, April 13th, 2020 in a "Loads of Love Humanitarian Aid & Mission Society" container, our partnering Mission for one of three orphanage locations blessed with JBM Backpacks in this shipment. She's the dear lady with the head scarf in one of these photos, standing next to Thandi, the lady beside her with a smile that radiates the love of Jesus on her face! A special Thank You to all our wonderful Blanket Makers, Sewers and Donors who generously gave their time and treasure to provide these filled "Backpacks of Hope" in support of this dear Heroine, who in Penny's words, has sacrificially "loved, laughed, cried, cared for and cherished" all these Children under her care, day after day, year after year.
