Secretary: I am Darla Henderson, I have been on the board for 5 years! For the past 3 years I have been the secretary. I take the minutes at our meetings, type them up and distribute them in word format to the rest of the board members. I am also the safe keeper of our minutes bible that is filled with minutes from present to many years ago. ... I’ve enjoyed my time on the preschool board, but it is my time to retire. Some of the main duties included participating in the active and ongoing planning for the preschool and attending monthly board meetings. Hello Jack & Jill Families! My name is Kim Slade and I have been the Treasurer for the Preschool Board this past school year of 2020-2021. Even though it has been a different year, I am so glad our littles have been able to attend preschool each week and continue on their exciting journey of learning and exploring. My oldest son has attended for the last year and a half and my younger son can hardly wait to start as well! The position of Treasurer is busy at times but definit...ely manageable and rewarding. The position will require an organized person and a background in accounting/ bookkeeping would be an asset. Here is another writeup from our Fundraising Coordinator Hello future and present Jack and Jill Preschool Families, I am Bailey Danderfer the Fundraising Coordinator this year. We are so excited to be planning for the 21/22 Preschool Year! As you may or may not know our program relies on fundraising dollars in order to run as smoothly as it has these past years.... Fortunately, many of our fundraising events are well organized and easy to manage. It seems to be a bit busier in the fall as many run during that time, but this is also flexible as to when some of these can happen. With the position will come a nice folder that will assist you along the way for each fundraiser we had success with in the past. Another job to do within this position is to keep track of the points each family acquires throughout each fundraising event, so if you like spreadsheets this is a great job for you! Lastly, the position is a wonderful way to get to know your preschool families which was one of my favourite parts of why I signed on. I would have no problems having a coffee date with anyone who may be interested in the job, or feel free to email me at [email protected] with any questions. Our oldest daughter has attended at Jack and Jill Preschool the last two years. It has been a great experience for both her and us as parents.... My name is Chantal Derbowka and I have been in the role as President this past year. Our daughter has been enrolled in Jack and Jill Preschool for two years now, and I cannot say enough positive feedback about the program! A few of my duties as President throughout the year have included: - Frequent communication between Ms. McKnight and Ms. Roy - Applying for grants to financially assist with expenses throughout the year - Creating/organizing the agenda for monthly meetings - The opportunity be on the board with a great team of parents who are all excited and motivated to help provide their child with the best preschool experiences! We would just like to express our appreciation. We have noticed that when someone who is not the usual drop-off or pick-up person comes to our classroom they have worn a mask. We appreciate this consideration of our classroom bubble. Seemingly small gestures like this help us to keep our classroom safe and help us to keep track for contact tracing purposes and we ask that if you are not the regular drop-off or pick-up person you will continue to do this. Thank you!

We are now accepting registrations for the 2020-21 school year. Completed registration forms can be emailed to [email protected]. The school year will proceed on the guidelines determined by the government in relation to COVID 19. Parents will receive an email in August to confirm their days of attendance, how payments will be handled and the school supply list. We are also looking for 4 new board members year for the upcoming year. If you are interested please feel free to send a private message and someone will be in contact with you.

MISSED THE DEADLINE? Not to worry, our start date was delayed. We still have Wednesday Part-Time spots and possible Wednesday/Friday Full-Time spots (pending the amount of intetest), available. New school start date will be September 23 for Wednesday class. Contact [email protected] if interested.

Hi Everyone! We are currently sending out class confirmations and an information packet to all who have registered for preschool, via email. If you do not receive yours by Monday, August 17th, please let us know. Make sure you check your "other" folder as well, as the messages have turned up there in past years. We are now down to 11 Full-time spots available in either the Tues/Thurs class or Wed/Fri class and 4 Part-time spots left on Fridays. Get your registration forms in ASAP to ensure you have a spot! School starts September 1st for T/Th class and September 2nd for Wed/Fri class.

This is a good idea, not only does it help cut down on having to handle kids lunches so much when we are trying not to spread germs, but the children feel a sense of pride when they can accomplish this on their own. Add the Fruit Cups that are in the plastic containers to the hard to open list, too!

We have made some decisions for moving forward with preschool in the Fall. We will be following these new procedures when we start as well as continuing to teach our students about germs, proper hygiene habits and keeping within your own personal space bubble as part of our regular learning objectives. Hello Everyone, We want to update our community on our efforts to safely return to preschool in the Fall. Our current cooperative board and teaching staff are reviewing the Saskatchewan guidelines for early learning programs within our province. We are currently making changes to our program as,necessary to ensure the health and safety of our students and their families while continuing to provide a quality early learning experience for our preschoolers. We are in the process of determining if children registered for the fall will be able to attend on the days requested. Parents can expect an email to be sent next week to confirm. Due to the low registration for Mondays, the Board may consider changing the schedule to Wednesday/Friday if there is a greater interest.
