Perfect weather leading into this weekends hockey tournament!! On this saturday the annual 4 on 4 hockey tournament will be battled out on our ice. SPOTS ARE FULL. this is going to be the best year yet!! Be sure to come cheer on these teams starting at 11am. Our bar also opens at 11am and drinks are cheap! This is a kid friendly event so be sure to bring the family out! This is my favorite event of the year! Come on out! You wont be disappointed!

Hello everyone!! Thank you for your patience as we planned and worked out the details for the Learn to Skate Program at Namao Jack Speers Rink. Also thank you to all of those who gave interest in it. It is now time to PRE-SIGN UP! ... Here are the details for the program: WHEN: February 1st, 8th, 22nd, and 29th (every Saturday except Family Long Weekend) from 1pm-2pm WHO: all ages are welcome! (Our volunteer instructors will place each individual into a suitable group) WHERE: Jack Speers Community Rink in Namao, Alberta between Namao school and Namao Hall WHAT: The Learn to Skate Program is a fun way to get outside into your community and learn to skate! It is organized by the Events Committee under the Namao Agricultural Society MORE DETAILS ... - There will be a minimal charge per person to cover some costs TO REGISTER ... please email: [email protected] Please include the following information in your email: - your name - Who will be participating (name and age) - If the participant has skated before (this will help us decide which group to place the individual into) - A cell number and email to respond to PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING EQUIPMENT SUCH AS HELMETS OR SKATES. Hey everyone!! So on tuesday night jan 7th at 7pm we will be hosting another event planning meeting in the downstairs of namao hall! This is an invite to anyone in the community that has ideas on events to put on or just wants to get involved! Let's make 2020 the best year our community has seen yet! Just in time for christmas! The rink is ready!! A HUGE shout out goes out to Reeds water service for helping us get the base started! This is the thickest base we have had in many years. This local company goes above and beyond for our community every year. So thank you! Lights will be on starting tonight. They go on once it's dark and stay on until 11pm. If requested we can leave them on longer. Stay tunned for rink building hours of being open.

Just to update everyone the spots for the tournament are almost full! So if your thinking of putting in a team do it asap. Please note if you have not paid and sent me the registration form you are not signed up yet. Please send them quickly to ensure your spot. Jan 25th. 4on4, 4 players minimum and 5 players max. No goalies.
