Something new from the editing room. We're super-excited to show it off and it'll be coming down the pipe soon! What do you think it is?

This is a fascinating photo. We were doing some work in the Kawartha Lakes area when we came across this. What you're looking at (in the white areas) are piles of dead trees caused by massive beaver dams flooding the area with water, thus killing all the trees. Ultimately holes were made in the dams with dynamite and thankfully no beavers were hurt in the process. We thought it was interesting and wanted to share it!

Meet our newest piece of filmmaking gear, the DJI Ronin-S. We've been staunch supporters of manual gimbals like our Glidecam HD-2000, but this new Ronin-S gives us so much more flexibility in different shooting environments like real estate videos, that we love to produce. Have you used one before? What are 2-3 go-to accessories we should look at?

When we were out in Alberta for a time, we regularly produced these short, 60-second videos for Lakeland College and its Rustlers athletic programs. These were ssentially highlight packages narrated by the team's head coach, using their pre-game chat with the players. These were so much fun to produce and garnered thousands of views and great engagement on social.

We've got one more component to show you from our post-production PC and it's our Gigabyte Aorus RTX-2070 GPU. This thing is of paramount importance for our work within Blackmagic's Davinci Resolve, which we use for colour correction / grading. It's a program that relies heavily on GPU processing power and this RTX-2070 gets the job done without barely breaking a sweat. Plus, it's pretty to look at.
