A bit later tonight than I generally prefer (thanks lost cell phone!) but nonetheless here it is my Saturday night song: Skyscraper Soul by Jim Cuddy! Keeping with June's theme of City Life and this being Neighbour Day made this tonight's obvious choice. This has been a personal favourite of mine for a long time but it took on a special resonance two years ago during the 2013 Floods. Over the weekend I attended a public meeting in Ogden about the forthcoming Green Line, a transit line that may be a bus rapid transit way before being transitioned to being an LRT. One of the most interesting comments made by some of those present on behalf of the city used the investments made in the public realm (such as the Riverwalk) as an example of what the city may aim to do in other communities, particularly as part of major changes, like the arrival of a new transit line.
