Due to the upcoming lockdown, Jack's will be closed as of Dec. 24th at 3:00pm until Jan.23rd. We will not be doing curbside service, and no one will be in to monitor phone messages. Navigating through an average day is a challenge for many people, and trained, qualified service dogs can help them reach for the stars. Partner Dogs Canada Inc.... is a not-for-profit organization that, in partnership with Good as Gold K9 School, trains service dogs, multi-client service dogs and advanced therapy dogs to help people with emotional, physical or other accessibility issues gain confidence through the presence of a service animal. Two members of 100 Women Who Care in Brock are collaborating on an ongoing fundraising effort in support of Partner Dogs Canada that also contributes to our community need to wear face masks. Carole Roberts is donating fabric and Kim Doyle is donating her time and talent to sew the masks. These masks are available at Smallmart or Jacks Place 4 Kids in Beaverton; you simply give a donation of $5 and choose your mask. All proceeds go to Partner Dogs Canada. As women who care, this is one way we can support those who would benefit from the presence of a service dog in their life, especially during these difficult times. If there are other sewers in the group who would be interested in making masks for this worthy cause please message us and we will reach out to you.
