With the news that @fujifilm_profilm is discontinuing their 400h film, I realise a lot of you might not know how this works. As a film photographer, Fuji was the first coloured film stock that I learnt to shoot on and was as much a part of my workflow as my camera was (and still is!) so it’s sad to see that Covid has affected their manufacturing and material procurement. Instead, I thought I’d share this portrait of gorgeous H captured on Porta160. I love... this image so much and it just shows what can be achieved with a little learning, and a lot of love. On wintery, dark mornings like this, I firmly believe you have to learn to find your own sunshine. Mine comes in the form of hot coffee, my favourite scented candle and the glow of my LED computer screen as I send more emails to prospective clients. This week has been a busy one, from mentorship sessions to late night consultations and planning engagement sessions in the next few months, to marketing, accounting and general business housekeeping. Not going to lie, but today, I can feel that familiar itch to start creating again!
