This weekend marked the 8th weekend we've been renovating our flip home! Flooring was laid by me throughout the upstairs & Jamie finished the master bedroom closet. The master bedroom closet was doubled in size by knocking out a dead space in the wall & custom build ins for shoes & more hanging space. It is coming together!! Next weekend upstairs will be complete with trim, tiling in kitchen & pantry build ins.

I was fortunate to Key another family today with 3 months mortgage payments at the Stollery Hospital in Edmonton. Brooklyn is a sweetheart! The moment I walked in, she greeted me & insisted I sit on her bed and she opened her gift! She is quite affectionate & well liked by all the nurses, even helping them change her tubes while I was there. Brooklyn is 5 yrs old and suffers from gastrointestinal issues since birth. She has been in & out of the hospital most of her life & has been staying there since April 2018. Brooklyn is being raised by her grandfather. Her grandfather has been out of work for 2.5 yrs after an accident and is financially stressed. Brooklyn took us for a stroll around the hospital & greeted many support workers there. She is a beautiful young girl and I am truly blessed to have met them.

There is a lot of talk with Variable rate & Fixed rate mortgages now that the Bank of Canada had another prime rate increase of .25%. I am a supporter of the Variable rate mortgage when there is a great discount off of prime and there is a significant difference between the current fixed and variable rate.
