For those who don’t yet know me, I’m Jade. Some of you know me as Jade’s Maids but above all else, I am a mama to my almost 7 year old, forever bestie, Zaiden. He is the reason I am here today, building a business out of what was just a wild girl with passion and a dream. Six years ago I started my cleaning business with an ad on Kijiji, a mop bucket, and a will to persevere. Referred to then as Jade’s Eco Cleaning Services, I set out on my way to create a life for my... son and I. There was no business plan. No secondary education. There were no certainties. There was just me, my skills, and a fire raging inside. Referred to now as Jade’s Maid Co., we are a team of 8. My heart overflows to think that 8 amazing individuals in this world, choose us to share their skills with. It still feels surreal, most days. Building this business from the ashes of my life has been my greatest and most rewarding challenge. To navigate and sustain a janitorial service amidst a global pandemic has been a hurdle I could never have imagined facing. Learning to pivot and build all at once, has been my biggest and feat. Feelings of gratitude that we still have a job to wake up to each day, knowing that our staff and their families will be able to afford their bills for one more month. We are privileged. I am deeply thankful for this life. As we continue to navigate the 10th month of covid-lifestyle, I’ve noticed a shift in not only myself. Feelings of exhaustion, the depletion of motivation. That hollowing feeling of when will this end? I recognize this ache in many people lately. I wanted to take this time to send a gentle reminder that your feelings are valid. We have all been fighting the battle of survival for the past year. At Jade’s Maid Co., we all aim to be more than just your cleaners. We aim to serve your family and to build a sense of community and support in your life so that you can focus on and create space for the things you truly value. Although we still can’t give hugs, we can appreciate this is a sensitive time for many. It is my hope that we can continue to be a weight lifted, and a light for you in the weeks to come. We are here for you

BEHIND THE SCENES JADE & GRAHAM Hi guys! We wanted to take this time to introduce ourselves from behind the scenes! I’m Jade, CEO of JADE’S MAID CO., and this is my fiancé Graham, our Chief Financial Officer. Graham is a designated CPA by trade, and in just over a year will be obtaining his MBA degree. He is all things numbers and provides an incredible amount of the knowledge and insight to our team with his business background as we continue to build our small busines...s! 6 years ago, I started this cleaning business which was then called Jade’s Cleaning Services (so original, am I right?). My son Zaiden was just over 7 months old and I was in a desperate position to figure out our future. Cleaning and detail work have always been my forte and something I have continued to excel at over the years. Then, I fell in love with Norwex and it was game over. For me, it was a no-brainer, and a sure way to make a living doing something I am passionate about: starting my own cleaning gig. From one ad posted on Kijiji, to the occasional Facebook post and many, many referrals, I managed to build my cleaning business from a lone wolf operation, to now a team of 6 hard working women, plus myself and Graham in the office. 2 years ago we hired our first crew member Jocelyn who is now our Team Lead. We currently service 250+ clients in rotation and continue to steadily grow as the days go by! Each day I am learning and growing and deeply grateful for where we are at. Maneuvering from The Cleaner to the The Boss has been my greatest challenge and most rewarding journey. Through building this small business, meeting the incredible clients that we do, and leading my resilient team through a pandemic I am becoming more of myself each day. I am certain that this is the path that I am meant to walk, and I will forever be thankful for each client who has supported me and believed in me along the way. We have big plans over here, and none of it would be possible without you!
