New BC Health guidelines as of yesterday and a thorough talk with Island Health this morning mean that our music every Friday is background, tickets will be refunded, and you are welcome to come to sit at our tables in the courtyard with your JagaSilk tea and dessert purchase, as long as it's only with your "core bubble" or solo, masked when not eating or drinking, and we all maintain social distancing. Service will be done in masks and visors. Background music will be perf...ormed behind plexiglass by the talented @sisterspeakmusic and @davidsantanamusic Desserts featured today are house Chocolate Almond Daifuku and @shinkinedo.canada kurikinton! I am really looking forward to this year's 5th annual Victoria Tea Festival Revival! We will have guests from all over the world including JagaSilk of course :) and @o5tea , @camellia.sinensis , the Doke estate in India, @postcardteas in England, Mr. Takaki in Japan, Shana Chang from @wildteaqi , @cloudwalkertea introducing a tea book they helped translate as well as Mr. Chen, a rockstar of old tea, Mimi Chiu live from Guizhou China talking the Chinese Tea Ceremony, Daniel Lui of @thechineseteashop with his extensive knowledge of Pu-erh, @unityjun , @obubuteafarms , @teakan.co , @requiem.naturals , @teatopia_festival , @lessimples , @whiskmatchayvr , @teamistress and so much more!!! JagaSilk is stoked to be a part of it. My talk will be on "Tea and Texture: utilizing a granular gauge to qualify texture when milling maccha green tea" In my other capacity as co-director I am pumped for 24 hours of hosting a rollercoaster ride in global tea theory direct from origin. Peter Dent, jazz pianist, will be performing as the guest musician for Outdoor Music Fridays today. @sisterspeakmusic leads the shows weekly and there will be desserts! - House Sweet Potato Tarte paired with Koucha Zairaishu by Kawakami - Maccha and Rooibos Chai Macaron paired with Maccha Yabukita by Fujioka... - Kurikinton from @shinkinedo.canada paired with Hojicha Yabukita by Takaki Tickets are $20 (include dessert and tea drink of choice), sold by the bubble/table and carefully distanced. Singers are behind plexiglass and service is done in masks and visors. Doors and teabar open at noon. Music at 1pm. It's windy outside but not in the Court! Come on down.
