This was the best summer ever! I have never learned more, grown more as a person, or been so grateful for this life as I have this summer. It has been a blessing to deal with all of the ups and downs life threw at me as I navigated through this new path, finding so much growth and knowledge along the way. I’m so thankful to each of my clients that trusted me with their horses and showed me so much support and encouragement through this all. I got to work with some amazing an...imals this summer, each one taught me something new and humbled me everyday. A huge thank you to my grandparents, who helped me every step of the way. Without any of you, along with our incredible farriers, dentist, vets, chiropractors and feed providers this would not have been possible! Thank you! I am now back to college in Olds, Alberta. Where I have started my second year of Equine Science. This year I will work towards becoming an Equine Canada Certified Coach. Train unstarted and green horses and of course study lots of science! Today I found out I have also been accepted into the Equine Reproduction Technician program! Yay! I am looking forward to coming back to Fraser Lake next summer once I have both programs completed. I am already 50% booked for training next summer and I will have very limited space! Book now! I can’t wait to see you and your horses next summer!

This lady deserves a nicer photo but I can’t help but brag her up anyways. This is the first young horse I have started since I started my own horse 2 years ago. I have started and restarted many older horses who needed a second chance. I love working with all horses but there is something magical about teaching the young ones. This is Dakota, she is a 2 year old I have been working with for the last 6 weeks, she has come so far since she got here despite having a week off ...due to an injury. I am thankful everyday that people trust me with their horses so I get to do what I love. I have learned so much in the last 2 years since I learned how to start my own 2 year old. I can’t believe how smart and willing this horse is, every day of working with her is enjoyable and she learns almost effortlessly. I can’t wait to see where she will go in her life. This one is gonna be special See more

I was so worried all day yesterday that Smarty wouldn’t perform well at sorting because I’ve only been on her a couple times in the past few weeks, and we have both been off cattle for 10 months! She has been my Grandma’s main mount while we are attempting to breeding her mare. Of course she didn’t disappoint me, she was so great in the sorting pen last night doing what we love. I couldn’t ask for a better partner. I’m not sure if she was working hard or playing hard but we had so much fun. Thanks for the good times little lady @ Randy Ophus Performance Horses

It was time to kick the dust off and get back to doing what I love I haven’t worked cattle since last summer, so I thought I would try something new, on a different horse. I got the chance to restart Mister last summer and had about 20 rides on him, this spring he came back for 7 weeks, he never stops to amaze me and make me proud. Today would be our 50th ride together and it made me the most proud of all. I’ve never worked cattle on this horse and he’s never seen buffalo. He never batted an eye (even with Smarty having a panic attack behind him) and he had so much fun and got so excited to do something new. He did so much better than I ever could have imagined. I’m gonna miss this boy when he goes home
