I was about to get rid of this piece, but went all "macraweave" cray cray instead. You probably can't see it, but I weaved in more rope in between the diamonds. It wasn't meant to be clean or perfect and is very much different from my style, but I love it. It hangs in our master bedroom and it makes me smile. Its messy and shaggy just like my hair . . Each piece we make won't always come out perfect or the way we intend it to. And when that happens, it presents itself as... an opportunity to learn and grow. LARGEST project this year was a 9.5 ft piece, 5 panelled piece on copper pipe. Whew .. Kept it classic and simple. This was the best photo I could get as I couldn't fit it in a single frame. And there's no shame in the hair and socks game! As I told my customer, my small business is a family affair. My husband cut the pipe and painted it, I did the knotting, and our small family of 3.5 delivered it together. It was a long process, but I'm grateful for a wonderful family ...that helps me all the way! . Like many other owner-operator small businesses in our community, alot of what we do is intended for our families! Our rates may be a bit higher than store bought brands to cover our costs, but it is a labour of love and most definitely an avenue that sustains and provides. So thank you for your continued support. Every sale, means much more than you know! . I often think about the families of other business that were severely impacted this year. My heart goes out to you My constant prayer is a resolve for this pandemic. It's also so encouraging to see how our community rallied together to support local. . So it's the 23rd of December Which means it's one more day to make your favorite locally owned shop, small business, restaurant's Christmas by purchasing a piece of two or place a take out request. Every sale counts! But If you're unable to because budget is tight, there is NO judgement here! I too use Amazon and shop at big box stores looking for the next best deal to make our budget $$$ work!
