8 months ago I made the conscious decision to remove supplements from my diet, I did this not only because of the money I save but also because the great number of research papers out there that prove the ineffectiveness of supplements, my favorite paper being the "supplement paradox" Many supplements falsify the actual effects and ingredients of their products, now independent companies such as Labdoor.com are taking a stand and doing their own tests to help consumers find the safest and most effective products. Nutrition is one of the hardest things to study. Many studies only look at the short term effects of dieting. A lot of people get wrapped up in short term ideologies of dieting, because a study says it's healthy in the first few weeks doesn't mean the health benefits are there years later. A true nutrition study would need longer than most studies that are being performed, rather than a few weeks they need a few YEARS to prove its efficiency. Occams razor is a principle in philosophy that states "the simplest answer is often the right answer" In the world of diet this is usually the case. The industry pumps out so much information it's nearly impossible to process it all. Telling you take take this vitamin, that pre workoit, this intra workout or that specific brand of protein or whatever it may be in order to attain results. They over complicate the process. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and look at it in another light. Don't over think your diet, that is just another avenue that could lead you to failing at it.

Dieting is used again and again to lose weight by many. With so much promise of weight loss of being healthier but the research has often shown they constantly fail. One researcher has proven that dieters often experience a heightened level of cortisol. Where dieters feel much more psychological stress because of the restrictions they set on themselves. This is often where many see diets fail. Restricting yourselve leads to a higher "reward" response when having indulgent foo...ds, and the higher stress levels lead to binging or as some call it "stress eating".
