So sad to see this comment from a customer who is probably not familiar with authentic Jamaican food. Please read on for some background on a couple of traditional dishes... Ackee & Salt Fish, plus Rice & Peas Rice and "Peas" is a cultural term, known the world over, for our traditional rice in coconut milk with red peas (as we call them in Jamaica and other parts of the Caribbean). It has a rich history dating back to the days of slavery and has stood the test of time ...to be enjoyed by millions of people both in Jamaica and worldwide. Jamaican rice and peas will always be offered under this term yet still served with "red beans" whether you order it in Jamaica, Canada, the US, UK, Japan or anywhere. It is actually the National dish of Jamaica. The ackee resembles scrambled egg in appearance and texture but we can assure you there's no egg in there (we actually don't use any egg or egg products in our kitchen) The flavour of this fruit is very mild, slightly creamy, and combines beautifully with the other ingredients for a delicious and savory meal.
