6.5 miles today!! One of the hardest things for any runner to deal with is an injury that keeps them from running. I don’t only benefit physically from running but also mentally. After battling an overuse hip injury for the past few months it feels great to get out and do 9 miles virtually pain free. I will be slowly building up my mileage over the next few months to get back into shape. - What I took away from the last 2 months is that I have to do a better job listening to my body making sure I get enough rest and recovery in between workouts. I got so use to pushing through discomfort that I refused to take a rest day or two to recover from the h...igh mileage and hard efforts.
