I was at the courthouse today to file papers for an official recount of the results for St.John’s East Quidi Vidi. I was joined by MHA James Dinn. #nlpoli #nlndp

Well, Election 2021 is finally over, and no doubt many of us are still experiencing a myriad of emotions. Win or lose, an election campaign runs on the commitment, hard work and generosity of many people. I’d like to take this time to thank a few of those people. My family and especially my wife, Michelle - my chief motivator and data manager. No candidate can do this without the support of family.... My campaign managers, Evelyn Riggs and Judy Vanta, for keeping me organised and coordinating the campaign. The many volunteers who made the phone calls, put up signs, brought food, ran errands, canvassed neighbourhoods with me or with other volunteers Members of my St. John's Centre NDP District Association, especially Travis Inkpen, for the hours he spent making sure people received their ballots. The Newfoundland and Labrador NDP and the central campaign office for their logistical support and guidance. The many people and organisations who contributed financially to our campaign. Thank you to Gemma Hickey and Robyn Legrow for offering yourselves to represent St. John’s Centre. I look forward to working with both of you to address the issues facing Our district. Thank you to the many residents of St. John’s Centre who took the time to have conversations with me at your door or on the phone, especially in the middle of winter and during a pandemic. I hope to have many more with you over the next few years. Finally, thank you to the people who placed your confidence in me and voted for me. I will endeavour to maintain that confidence. For those who voted for one of my fellow candidates or did not vote at all, please know that I am still your MHA and will work hard to represent you and earn your confidence. Again, thank you.

Maple Syrup: from tree to table in about a day and a half. It takes even less time to vote. Don’t delay. Make sure your ballot is received by Elections NL on or before March 25. Please return your ballot as soon as possible.

Enjoying a much-needed fly tying break. What better salmon fly for a Newfoundland and Labrador NDP candidate to tie than an orange bomber. March 25th is the new deadline to have your special ballot received. Don’t delay. Please, return your ballot as soon as possible.
