My life hasn’t had enough mountains in it lately.

One of the things I most pride myself in as a wedding photographer is spotting and capturing those moments in the course of a wedding day that oft go unnoticed. Like this one between a mama and her darling little man.

Those of you who know me well know that I usually travel somewhere wonderful at Christmas time, and rarely spend it at home in the city. With me being in Edmonton this year for the holidays, I took the opportunity to photograph a beautiful, intimate wedding with Corinna and Cole just a few days after Christmas Day. And it was entirely charming.

This is decently accurate!

In September of 2015, I joined Sandra and Graham in photographing their wedding day. We then went on to forge a friendship, and I just adore them. This past September, Sandra reached out to me to ask about an anniversary portrait session, and I was more than happy to oblige. That day, we revisited the church where they were wed and some of the other locations that we featured on their big day. We had a blast, even though a server accidentally dumped a salad into my camera bag as we walked along a sidewalk cafe. Despite that wee mishap, I had a lovely time with them, and I just adore the results.

After wrapping up another busy wedding season, I was able to unwind by taking my parents, visiting from Newfoundland, to the mountains for the holidays. And what is Christmas in a winter wonderland like Banff without a sleigh ride? @ Warner Stables
