To all my valued clients, I would like to thank you for being patient during these unprecedented times. As you may have heard following the announcement on Wednesday May 27th, the Ontario Government and the Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health have provided a new directive for Regulated Health Professionals that allow for a gradual restart of services to be carried out with adherence to guidance from each health profession’s regulatory college. The directive includes Regis...tered Massage Therapists (RMTs) under the guidance of our College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). At this time our College, the CMTO, is not expecting RMTs to return to practice or to resume at full capacity if they do not feel it is appropriate or safe to do so. The CMTO also encourages limiting the number of in-person visits by prioritizing clients with essential care needs. Treatment is considered essential when: the client’s overall health or function would considerably decline if treatment were not provided (i.e. lead to hospitalization or other serious health consequences). Our first priority as Massage Therapists is to the health and safety of ourselves, our families and our clients and to ensure that the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks. After great consideration I have decided to resume work starting on Monday June 8th with modified hours in accordance with the state of emergency extension of June 30th. My modified hours are as follows: Monday 2:00 - 7:00 Tuesday 10:00 - 3:00 Wednesday 2:00 - 7:00 Thursday 10:00 - 3:00 Friday - Closed Respectively as of July 6th I would like to resume my normal hours if there is no further extension to the state of emergency. With social distancing protocol still being in effect and with more thorough procedural guidelines, there will be a Covid screening before every appointment as well increased frequency of handwashing & cleaning practices, and use of PPE by both client and therapist. Along with these many changes there will also be a slight increase fee to all massage therapy treatments. The new fees are as follows: 30 minutes - $60 (taxes incl.) 45 minutes - $75 (taxes incl.) 60 minutes - $90 (taxes incl.) 90 minutes - $120 (taxes incl.) As we adjust to this new schedule and procedures, I ask that you continue to be patient so we can ensure everyone's safety. As stated before, we are prioritizing essential cases at this time, however if you feel you're in need of a massage please feel free to contact the clinic and we will assess the schedule to see if we can accommodate you. The clinic can be reached by calling 519.767.1221 or by emailing admin at [email protected]. Thank you for your cooperation and I look forward to seeing you soon. Regards, Jamie Maginnis RMT

During this time of self isolation with little option of hands on physical therapy, self care is more important than ever! If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. Stay safe, stay home.
