Between the snow and the lockdown, I've had some time to focus on taking photos for myself again. My ponies are used to my antics, and they all love to ham it up for the camera. I particularly love this shot of my rescue pony, Cote. I swear, he's a pony, not a camel!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I'm so excited that I can finally share this gorgeous image of Doc, which was being gifted as a Christmas present, as well as a few other images that I can finally start sharing. This one in particular is definitely a personal favourite of mine, and I was half tempted to keep the print for myself.

I want to see a show of hands, who's all ready for Christmas? I'm just about done. As I worded it to someone yesterday, the "spending money" part of my holidays is done. New year, new gear. I got my hands on a new lens, and while I can have lots of fun testing it out on my gelding, Elliott, I'm eagerly awaiting show season so this lens can really shine. Fingers crossed we get a worthwhile season this year! If your horse loves the snow as much as Elliott does, have you considered a winter portrait session? Barring any extension on the current lockdown situation, I'm currently booking for February. Snow photos can be a lot of fun, and this is definitely one of my favourite seasons to shoot in!

I absolutely love it when you guys share how you've displayed your printed images! Multiple clients have told me that as much as they love their digital images, nothing compares to seeing the photo in print. And it doesn't matter how many images I see in print, I am always blown away by the quality. Thank you, Kelly McKay, for sharing these lovely images! Anyone curious about the quality of my photo lab, I do have example prints on hand.

There may not be much white stuff on the ground yet, but I think it's safe to say that winter is on its way. I may not be a fan of the cold, but winter photos are some of my favourites!
