This little Lady took her vacation this past September and choose to follow me to Pigeon Forge TN. To join me in Dolly Wood at the Josie music Awards. I only had one Fear. It wasn’t the fear of not bringing home an award. It was the thought of letting her my mom,my girl, family and friends down if I didn’t win. The very thought of them taking there vacation and hard earned money to follow me 17 hrs from home was frightening. My stress from this was getting the best of me. I w...anted to make there vacation special. The awards day came it was a long day but amazing show to watch and take in. I didn’t win I was overjoyed to be nominated among thousands of entrances though. That night waiting at a table for dinner. My Aunt Maddie reached out took my hands said I hope you know I came to support you and your music. You’ve done well to get here We’re proud of you Choked up looking in her sparkling eyes my response was a squelched yup. She squeezed my hands. Little wink then a smile. That yup was all she needed knowing without tears that’s all I could say. It met I love you and Thank You for supporting me. The day you passed I choose not to say goodbye. An I love you very much and I’ll never forget you. Was all I could get out. I’ll never forget the first compliment you gave my music I sang amazing grace at granny’s funeral. You hugged and kissed me saying that’s the best version I’ve ever heard. These are the vivid memories I’ll cherish. Thank you for never letting me be second best. Being the one to tell me I can do better. Knowing that’s what I needed to hear not a praise for second best. It took me years to learn those hard words were for my better good. You were an amazing aunt and even more amazing mother. Proud of what ever accomplishments your kids did. You’d be just as proud and brag the same if One come home with a dollar and the other a million dollars. It didn’t matter as long as they did there best. My world is truly a better place because of you. I truly believe what you always taught. Our time doesn’t end in a slow ride in a hurst. We will meet again. See more

Artists who inspire me are John Fogerty, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Keith Whitley, Dolly Parton, George Strait, Alan Jackson and pretty much every country artist who gets to do what they love to do everyday.
