For my latest piece of Vampirella fan art, I wanted to create a piece with an attempt at some sort of creature design. So I created what I call BLOOD LIZARDS. I figured that when she was on her home planet of Drakulon, wouldn't it be cool if there were these huge reptilion creatures. So, here is the back story I made for them... BLOOD LIZARDS: A ferocious reptilian creature born in the mud of the blood rivers on Drakulon. These creatures, much like the Vampiri Inhabitants of ...this planet, also feed on blood. They are extremely aggressive and can smell the scent of blood for great distances. At birth these creatures start off in egg like pods of blood. Like most lizards the females will lay eggs and the males will come and fertilize the eggs. The males and females are VERY protective of the eggs and will defend them quite violently. The eggs are a delicacy to the Vampiri race and because of how dangerous it is to collect the eggs they are quite expensive and only the elite are usually the only ones able to enjoy these eggs. The Blood lizards are able to take out a Vampire quite easily. as they have a neuro toxin in their saliva that have a weakening effect on vampires like garlic. Once bitten these lizards will savagely feed on their prey. Only skilled and seasoned Vampires are able to collect the eggs. This is done by establishing a telepathic link with the lizard and controlling its aggression with a mental link. That link must be there constantly, the split second of easing up on that link is all these powerful creatures need to attack. They are incredibly fast. The challenge also comes if other Lizards are in the area picking up on the vampire's scent. The Vampire may have to establish many telepathic links at one time to stay safe while collecting the blood eggs. Some Vampires are known to keep Blood Lizards as pets as a social display of how powerful they are. See more

FAREWELL DAVID PROWSE :( Growing up, my childhood was greatly wrapped in things that let my imagination run wild like a dog in an off leash park. The movies wer...e simply the introduction of characters to my mind,... the characters themselves tho would often find many more adventures in my mind and through my art. Of all the characters I've held a love for, Darth Vader was one of the main ones. Heck, I have a life size one right beside me fueling me with nerdy inspiration everyday in my studio. The moment that character stepped into the ship corridor to show the princess his authority, I knew there and then you were the most bad ass mother f**ker I have ever seen. You are the number 1 Hollywood villain of all time. There were 3 parts that brought that character to life in it's iconic way. - Bob Anderson was the stunt double who carried out the lightsaber duels. - James Earl Jones was the iconic voice but it was You David Prowse that filled the suit with your 6'7" frame. your mannerisms of that frame. You WERE Darth Vader. Thank you for all the adventures. All the escapes out of reality. All the embodiment of inspiration I got from the character you gave life to. R.I.P. David Prowse.
