My iPhone overheated and caught on fire twice from incoming messages! We had a lot of offers! The hype was intense but the really truth is TIMING was the real hero. With very low inventory (because it’s January) and with lots of people looking it makes for hype no matter what. It finally HAPPENED! My awesome friends are finally the winners of this beautiful home. They can now call this beautiful home, home sweet home!!!! ... And the best thing is that their home search is DONE! With all of the frustrating and overwhelming emotions that came along with this very competitive market, that is a HUGE relief. If you’re feeling frustrated and losing hope on your home search at the moment, don’t. My friends had crazy patience and didn’t lose hope though the long process AND look what happened to them ! This is pretty awesome! I ain’t gonna pretend it’s not and do a super long Look at me, I’m so humble post. Why is this acknowledgment of 100% AWESOMENESS so important to me?... It’s simple... I have build my business on building great relationships and just being me all the time. But just being me wasn’t easy years ago. I believed that if I didn’t wear a suit, or dress and talk like others NO ONE would hire me. And I believed that if anyone found out that I used to be a alcoholic and found out my insecurity I would be done and need to find a new career. Honest & Predictable Results Well kind of more like 90% predictable. Here’s the story of the 10% that was NOT at all predictable ... As always, my friends kicked butt and got their home all ready to hit the market. We had a lot of showings and had an accepted offer in a week! My friends were relieved and super excited. With their home sold they didn’t have to stress about it not selling, and they could focus on moving in to their new home in a few weeks! A few days later... goes SIDEWAYS fast! I get a call from my sellers bank. Hi Jamie I am looking over clients offers on the home they just sold and the home they have bought and there is 10 days that they won’t have a house to live in! I told her that’s impossible because we talked and negotiated with the buyers agent for over 30 mins about possession date. Well I see the price change in the offer but not the possession change! With in FIVE seconds I knew I made ONE of the biggest mistakes that I can remember and it was 100% my fault. I didn’t write in the new possession date in the offer which meant my friends would have to find a place to stay for 10 days and move everything four times. That was NOT an option. I was driving at the time and when I got off the phone my mind immediately took over and the panic and anxiety started. (Which is ok! Those emotions are only natural. I just don’t sit with them longer than needed! ) Within five minutes my whole focus turned to coming up with creative ways to make this all work out for: My sellers. The buyer for their home. The sellers for the home THEY purchased. This was 100% my mistake and I made that very clear to the agents, their clients and, my guys. I knew what I had to do. And I did it! Everything worked out for everyone and especially for my understanding , unbelievable , awesome friends. In fact, it worked out even better then we could have thought! What I learned: Having a conversation while I am writing is not the best idea for me! Love ya guys like family (Ps This one was so unpredictable I felt like an unpredictable photo was the best way to wrap it all up.)

Honest & Predictable Results Music is part of my life and it plays all the time. In every room, car, office, on the beach, on walks, during workouts, and even when I’m sleeping. I always wanted to learn how to play music so a few years ago I picked up a ukulele.... I’m not going to lie, I had expectations of being on a world-wide SELLOUT tour in a few months of learning the ukulele. Let’s just say I had maybe had inflated expectations and after a few lessons I gave up. Fast forward to now! I’m back on the ukulele which much lower expectations and loving it! What maybe me pick up the uke again?!? This beautiful home that my friends asked me to help sell! We did a fantastic job, selling it in under 25 days so my friends can finally enjoy being SNOWBIRDS. And my I met a new friend who now is the happy owner of this beautiful home! This new friend plays pretty much every music instrument and has more passion for music than most people I know. And you guessed it our friendship ignited my desire once again to pick up my uke! But, unfortunately this time around my WORLD TOUR is on hold. (It was suggested I learn more then just the C and F cord before I start booking venues!) Wishing both of my friends nothing but the most beautiful music in both of their next chapters in life! It’s almost that time! Santa came kinda early for my new friend!!! I love Santa! He is so magical and seriously the guy is ridiculously awesome at what he does. ... AND he had a huge part in making my friend super happy with the condo that is now all HERS!!! The whole process went just the way we wanted it to go. We got it for the price she wanted to pay. I’m in a glass case of emotion! I finally understand how Ron Burgundy felt. I feel happy.... I feel sad. I feel excited. I feel empty. So my friends are over the because they are the new owners of this massive bungalow with a double detached garage. Oh, and it’s in Southdale and we got it UNDER asking price! In this crazy market whenever you purchase a home for under asking it’s a WIN! And if it’s in one of the most desirable areas in the city it’s like WINNING the championship! So why am I in a glass case of emotion NOW? I first met my awesome friends five months ago and we spent lots of time together! We looked at tons of homes. We texted each other almost daily. We got to know each other as people, as humans! Not just a realtor-client relationship (I don’t like that type of relationship). We started off as strangers not knowing anything about each other besides me being a realtor (actually a ridiculously awesome realtor ) And now it’s OVER and I am trying to make this post kinda lighthearted and funny... ...but I’m serious when I say that I will miss them! I will miss the laughs we shared. I will miss our conversation. I will miss showing them homes and hearing about their week. I will miss texting them. BUT..... I am so happy they are the new owners of this unbelievable home and again getting it for under asking! I am super happy that we will continue our relationship, and I am grateful that the impact they have had on me in the last five months. Country Paradise My friends and I came in first again!!! With multiple offers we came out swinging and won! Now they are the new owners of this ridiculously beautiful home that sits on one of the most breathtaking pieces of land that I have ever seen. They read my online reviews and reached out to ask for my help in the search for their perfect dream home.... After we met for the first time and hit it off like we were long time friends, of course I said YES. It didn’t take us long to find their home, maybe three weeks, but in those weeks the trust and loyalty we had was like a long term friendship! They even made me homemade banana bread! I love that. Honest & Predicable Results Nothing beats a beautiful fall day with the sun shining like it’s summertime. I love helping my friends with their real estate needs. Like my buddy whose awesome Riverview home just sold in FIVE days. ... Do I absolutely love being a Realtor though? Well, I do BUT if I had a crystal bal and could have chosen any profession for a career I pretty sure it wouldn’t be being a Realtor. For one simple reason: It sometimes takes time away from daddy & Grace time which will always be more important then real estate. Selling their home was the last step in the process and it worked out just as planned. ... Tons of showings (so many we lost count). A bunch of offers. Sold $20,000 over list price with no conditions. That’s all good and exciting for my friends, but what was my favourite experience working with them? Well, two months before my buddy came to my home and replaced the front window in my Jeep! It may not be a huge deal for some but I drove with a cracked windshield for FOUR long years! My reason was simple: I don’t like making appointments for my Jeep. It’s a real a pain in the ass. I have to drop it off, rent a car, then go back and pick it up and drop off the rental car. (I know I sometimes have serious problems in my life.) BUT, I found out that my friend could come to my house and change it in my driveway! Seriously the best idea and service in the world for a guy like me. It’s a win-win for all of us! New home for them, new windshield for me! Love ya guys.
