Anwar started playing cricket in the year 2007, a time when cricket was still considered a fortune of riches. His cousin was his first coach and then came Zahoor Dar, also a destructive batsman in his times. Zahoor made it sure Anwar reaches his potential and Anwar didn’t disappoint him, he rose to the occasion and made his mark everywhere he played. Anwar’s idolises Rohit Sharma in cricket. Both are very good at Pulling the ball over to fence. Anwar did get the chance to pla...y for J&K U-23 team but was left out later on. He has also played more than 5 ITCF nationals and has also represented Aryans College for three year’s. Anwar is an engineer by profession but his love for cricket knows no bounds. He is presently the captain of City Club Kupwara along with doing his job in BSNL. Anwar has scored runs everywhere and when asked about how many centuries and fifties he has scored, he says with a chuckle that he doesn’t remember as they are countless. He was and will always be that master of square cut and pull. Certainly studying engineering has helped him a lot in studying the trajectory of ball.
