Kwe' Nokamaq... I am looking for any household donations for a couple who had to leave their last place in a hurry ... they do not deal in drugs or party ... where they lived previously was way to busy & dangerous for them ... I'm asking my Facebook friends if they can donate kitchen & bathroom items ... mainly kitchen items ... you can inbox me or you drop them off at 135 Tupsi Dr. Membertou. Meet our ED! Vanessa Walker is the Executive Director of the Cape Breton Centre for Sexual Health and the Sexual Health Educator for the Island. Vanessa educa...tes students, promotes safer sex in a shame free, honest, and 2SLGBTQ+ inclusive way; and provides support through her work at the CBCSH. Originally from Sydney, Vanessa moved to Halifax at age 18 to pursue a career as an Esthetician. In 2011 Vanessa returned to Cape Breton to raise her family. Once in Cape Breton see saw a need for programs targeted to vulnerable populations and decided to return to school so that she could help her community thrive. Vanessa now holds a diploma in Human Services with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation from NSCC Marconi. Vanessa is an active member in her community and volunteers for several organizations including the Cape Breton Youth Project and Girl Guides of Canada as a Spark Leaders for her daughter's unit. Additionally, Vanessa is a champion for reproductive rights and bodily autonomy on the board of Pro Choice Cape Breton. Vanessa also became a certified abortion doula in 2017 through training she took with Abortion Support Services Atlantic. I have someone who is Near and Dear to my heart, who is like a daughter to me. Her name is Aleigha Paul, she is the daughter of the Late Jane Paul. She passed M...arch 2, 2016. She left 3 beautiful children behind at a young age. Their mother doesn't have a headstone and her daughter Aleigha (15 yrs old) is trying her best to fundraise for her Mother's headstone. She is selling tickets on 3 pairs of beaded ear rings, $25 Tim's gift card & a $25 vanilla card. Tickets are $2 each for 3/$5! I'm gonna help her fundraise.
