I really love the challenge of creating a space for people that uses what they already have. Integrating pieces, photos and objects that have special meaning to them and giving them balance/function and a new angle that fits them individually. I was just reading from Dr. Axes feed about the term "hygge" pronounced (HU-GA)used in Denmark, which is the number one happiest country in the world, that means joy/comfort/happiness among other things. When we have special memories/feelings that are triggered by cozy lighting and a nestled furniture placement of familiarity that's what I believe makes the most of the spaces. It really can be so rejuvenating by bringing security in these uncertain constantly changing times. I also value reusing and repurposing before buying new. Waste not want not! Less is better then more!
